Don't Litter! With the advent of modem transportation, these backcountry facilities have become less needed. Some have been removed while others arc being preserved for their historical importance. Over the years, the public has expressed an interest in using some of the structures for summer recreation retreats. Because of a lack of need for them and reduced budgets, creative ways of use and preservation were needed. The recreational reservations are required, and full payment is required thirty (30) days prior to use. Reservations will be taken from the public beginning January 3, 1994. On that date reservations will be taken in person only from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. After 10 a.m. reservations will be taken by telephone or in person.
