I have made it one of my personal goals to make sure everyone gets involved in all the school activities. We have a lot of things going for us this year, not just the graduating class of 2000, but the entire school. We have the once in a life time opportunity of being theme for the year. Counselors Corner The First week of school is over, students are settled into their classes and schedule changes are done. They start with the Stanford Achievement, then the ACT, the National Merit Test, and the AS VAB test This will begin around the third week in September. Congressman Chris Cannon has extended an invitation to those students who are interested in seeking a nomination to the U.S. military Academies. Candidates must be between 17 and 22 years old, unmarried, and have no dependents. Selections will be based on GPA, ACT scores. leadership potential, extracurricular activities, and recommendations. Students attending military academies! receive a free education. They will have to commit to several years of military service. The deadline is November 30th. Students interested in becoming an automotive engineer should look at the engineering scholarships from the SAE Foundation. The Deadline for this is December 1st. |
