The lakeside community is growing, more rapidly than almost any other area in the state, and therefore will more important relation to the rest of Utah. become Tuesday to express our concern about the importance of our community and the direction state and local officials will be taking us in the years to come. We can vote. The Utah House of Representatives will make some expensive decisions in our behalf, and those decisions will become more important during the coming legislative sessions because of a potential deficit that will have to be overcome in state finances. We also have seen the controversy that can be engendered in the county commission positions in both Weber and Davis counties. School board jobs also are on the line. Those of us who might have complained or defended or even just questioned now must expend the effort to give credence to our words. So lets Review Editor: Recently, a U.S. Senate Bill (S 2043) was passed by the U.S. House of ' Representatives. The bill is entitled The Animal Cancer Research Act. The Agricultural Committee report which accompanies this bill, identifies the intent of the bill to provide $22 million to provide for research and coordination of research in the diagnosis, prevention and control of malignant tumors in domestic animals, poultry and wildlife. The animal tumor program at Utah State University lias had similar interests and direction for some time and, in fact, is devorted to the development of therapeutic agents and clinical procedures for use in both animal and human cancer. Therefore, as director of the animal weak that it will encourage acts of aggression by potential adversaries, and because of that weakness perhaps force America to use nuclear weapons in desperation? These are some of the issues that vitally effect your liberty and human rights to remain a free citizen. Where much is given, much is required, according to the God who brought this nation into being and once blessed it. This nation was pledged and founded on the ideas and concepts of the Prince of Peace. God was the author of American independence, liberty, the dignity of mankind, and his right to free agency, which our forefathers so dearly State University, I was delighted to learn that through the efforts of Representative Gunn McKay our organization has been solely identified and exemplified as satisfying the objectives of the act and that our efforts should be continued and supported through that legislation. 14 light of this rare distinction and ac-- . Davis School Food Service Association set up a small booth in the Layton and Bountiful Malls. They were so kind and helpful in every way. We thank them so much for letting us do this all week. We feel the booths were successful as many parents and grandparents got to see samples of trays filled with good food that their children and grandchildren are getting in school lunch. One lady told us that the good hot roll alone was worth the cost of the lunch. Thanks to our supervisor of Davis School foods, Maxine Reeves, our coordinators Ethel Rae Ivey, Joyce Jensen and Jeannine DeWitt for helping to make this possible and a big thanks to every Davis School food service lady for their time and lovely trays that were on display. We hope it helps to let all parents know we care about your children. A Review Editor: ' Voters, your great nation cries for T your help.
