Bountiful Valley Bank is celebrating its sixth anniversary this month. It was opened in a temporary office at 5th South and 2nd West in Bountiful in September, 1975. He feels that the high quality of the personnel and the ability of the bank to offer a full line of financial services have combined to contribute to the success of the venture. The bank is a locally chartered "unit bank associated with the Valley Bank and Trust which have offices from Ogden and Riverton the north to Richfield and Delta the south. There are 22 offices in Salt Lake County. The banks have established a neighborhood image, locating near and catering to the residential 29 on on customer and the small and medium sized business. Bountiful Valley Bank employs 20 people at its facility in Bountiful. California Couple Bring Coast Hair Styles to Bountiful By CHERIE HUBER More Video Games Denied In Bountiful The Bountiful BOUNTIFUL city council rejected a request by a Bountiful business for an amendment to an ordinance allowing only four electronic games machines in any one business in the city. The business had asked permission to add 18 to 24 machines, but the request was denied after Police Chief Larry Higgins strongly recommended the request be denied. He said that the additional g machines would cause problems. The business,' according to Higgins, also plans to serve pizza by the piece and pie by the slice. peace-keepin- Review Correspondent BOUNTIFUL Bruce and Margret Krill of Krills Creative Hair Design at 74 West and 5th 'South moved to Utah from California about 18 months ago in search of a more tranquil lifestyle. The couple had worked in hair salons in California for more than four years. After moving to Bountiful they worked at J.P. Harts in Centerville before going into business for themselves. They chose a Bountiful location for their shop because they felt that Bountiful has a good business climate. The couple remodeled a dentist office in the Carillon Plaza of Bountiful. Krill said that they have doubled their business in six months, proving his idea that people would appreciate personal service and quality workmanship. Krill was bom in Los Angeles and spent four years in the U.S. Army as a Communications Specialist during the Vietnam War. After, he decided to put his interest in art and working with his hands to practical use as a hair stylist. He trained in Redondo Beach, Calif., at Flavios Beauty College under several European hair stylists. He met his wife at the beauty school and they worked together in several salons in California. Krill said he thought that European hair stylists were good teachers because they did more precision work. In Europe hair stylists go through longer, more extensive training and receive a degree much like one r from a college here. four-yea- Mrs. Krill said that she noticed some interesting differences when they moved here from California. Young girls here are very concerned with their hair and go to great effort to keep it looking nice, while BUSY making appointments in his new hair salon in Bountiful is Bruce Krill, a young California girls are much more careless about their ap- pearance. Mrs. Krill also stated that while women here tend to be more conservative about hair styles, they take great interest in looking nice without spending a great deal of time on their hair. Krill said his family enjoys their new life in Bountiful. The people seem friendly and caring and helpful. Working in Bountiful has not only given them the opportunity to experience a feel- ing of independence but has also given them an opportunity to use. ' their full creativity without being limited.
