Orangeville 1st and 2nd Wards also meet at 11 a.m. and 0 am, respectively, on Main Street. Or-1 angcville 3rd and Castle Dale 3rd Wards meet in the building on hth North in Castle Dale, at 0 a.m. and 12.30 p m respectively. In all cases, Sacrament Meeting is first, followed by Primary, Youth and Adult classes. MISSIONARIES WEDDINGS Patty Anne Jeffs Thomas J. Smith Elder Wakefield Ray and Teresa Jeffs of Orangeville are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Patty Anne Jeffs, to Thomas J. Smith, son of Tom and Sharon Smith of Castle Dale. The couple will be married Fri., Mar. 9, in the Salt Lake Temple. A reception will be held in their honor on Sat., Mar. 10, in the Orangeville LDS Church. Tommy and Patty are both 1998 graduates of F,mery Elder Ty Shelton Wakefield has returned from serving in the Ireland Saints. Dublin Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-DaElder Wakefield will give his report on Mar. 11, at 11 a.m. at the Huntington 5th Ward (1 15 S. 400 E.). There will be an open house for family and friends that same day between 1 and 4 p.m. at the Wakefield home (188 E. Center, Hunting-ton)- . y High School After graduation Patty attended the College of Eastern Utah (CEU) where she graduated with a degree in Cosmetology. Tommy completed a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Da- y Saints in the Philippine, Beadod Mission. The couple plan to make their home in Price where they will continue their education at CEU. Grandparents of the bride are Jack and Mary Curtis of Orangeville, and Ed and Stella Reid of Castle Dale. Ty is the son of Lond and Valene Wakefield. Brian Lee Thatcher Brian Lee Thatcher has returned home after successfully completing a Saints in two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Da- y Mission. the Venezuela-Maracaib- o He will be speaking at 10:40 a.m. at the Kemmerer LDS Stake Center on Mar. 11. Brian is the son of Mark and Verna Thatcher of Kemmerer, Wyoming. He is the grandson of Bessie Palmer and Vernon and Arlene Huff, and the n of Azella Bradley, all of Wellington. Katrina Olsen Great-grandso- Derek Richards announce the marriage of their daughter, Katrina Lee Olsen, to Derek Kent and Evelyn Olsen James Richards, son of Lanny and Deborah Richards. They will be married on Mar. 10, in the Manti LDS Temple. A reception will be held in their honor that evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Spring Glen Chapel. Elder Lake Elder Daniel Kerry Lake has returned home after serving a two-yea- r mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Da- y Saints in the Brazil Ribeirao Preto Mission. Daniel will speak in sacrament meeting in the Castle Dale 2nd Ward on Mar. 11, at 11 a.m. Daniel is the son of Kerry and Elaine Lake. He is the grandson of Berdell and Geneva Lake, and Bert Oman, and Naoima Oman. GENEROSITY AWARD APPLICATION FOR VOLUNTEERISM Open to students in the 8th grade through 12th grade Each winner will receive a one-yetuition waiver to College of Eastern Utah ar All applicants must be present at the Life Skills Conference banquet on March 17, 2001 to receive the award. If an applicant is not present, heshe will not be eligible for an award. General Information A student may nominate himself or herself, or may be nominated by someone else a faculty or staff member, another student, parent, church leader, etc. or at all junior Applications are available by calling Steve Christensen at high and high schools in Carbon, Emery, and San Juan counties. Nominations must be submitted to Carbon County Recreation, 90 North 00 East 145 in Price, Utah 84501. Application deadline is 5 p.m. on March 7, 2001. Late applications will not be considered. 637-509- 2, 1 Awards Five students will be selected for the Generosity Award and will receive a full tuition scholarship to College of Eastern Utah for one year. One each in eighth, ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grades. Recipients will also receive a plaque to proudly display their accomplishment. All nominees will receive a certificate.
