Even though she fought severe health problems through all this, she was voted MVP a couple of times, but her favorite award . was being voted most fun player several years in a row. ; With all this activity, Maryla pas always had plenty of time for the most important thing in her life - her family. She intended on having several children but due to her failing kidneys, she was not allowed to have more. So to prevent feeling sorry for herself, she opened a craft store Which she and her sister, Ricki, pnjoyed doing together for sev- dish that someone would ask her about or that she wanted to try, is amazing. She loved to know someone that needed a meal so she could treat them to one of her new creations. Maryla became concerned that she was teaching girls to be too much of a tomboy including her own daughter, so she got her sister to help and they successfully organized the Miss Castle Valley Beauty Pageant. It was fair and completely organized. Many classes were put on to train the girls to compete; Mrs. Utah wns called on to help. This turned into an annual project for many years. All her accomplishments have been while fighting severe bad health, including aggressive cancer, sarcoidosis, and several major surgeries. The ballet dancers began with a warm-u- p stretching routine and also demonstrated the five positions of ballet. Volunteers were enlisted from the audience and four girls and four boys from the audience were taught some basic ballet stops. The girls jumped and the boys learned how to do a double twisting turn. The Nutcracker, which is a ballet from Russia, was performed in miniature. Starlee danced the part of the young girl whose dream came to life. The other dancers were the snow queen and the bear. The dancers also demonstrated how dancingwith a partner allows Pet Of The the lady dancer to hold a pointe for much longer and the male partner helps her twirl in a perfect circle. They also showed the students how important it is for the lady to jump at just the right time for the man to catch her and lift her high in the air for a beautiful twirl around the stage. Ballet West travels throughout 20 districts and visits more than 320 schools each year reaching more than 80,000 people.
