The joints in your bodv, in addition to bone and muscle, tendons. These are fibrous cords that attach the muscle to the bone. When a tendon becomes inflamed, it can cause pain as sharp as that associated w ith bursitis. The cause mav be excessive stress caused bv muscles out of balance. Every joint has muscles that must work in unison for normal joint movement. As some of the muscles contract or tighten, others relax, and this should happen at the right time and with the right amount of pressure. If the muscles are out of balance, this can result in excessive stress on the tendons, causing irritation and inflammation. Treatment to restore muscle balance and to check for anv misalignments in the spine and nervous system may eliminate the source of the problem and the pain. f Dr. Jerry J.
