Show APRIL 27, 1983 Syr aus e SOCIETY Syracuse Planning Wedding News Mr. and Mrs. Gary Hamblin and son, who have been residing in Layton for the past several years, have purchased the home of Mrs. Jayne Cook and are moving in this week. Mr. and Mrs. John Morris have commenced the erection of a new home which is located at 2700 South, in Syracuse. Mrs. Morris was the former Cheryl Nance. T Miwt. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Rachales of South Carolina, who have been visiting with relatives and friends in Salt Lake City for the past month, spent part of last week as guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Della Silva. The Della Silvas became acquainted with the Rachales while they were serving an LDS mission in the South Carolina mission a few years ago. Mrs. Rex C. Barber, Mrs. James Rentmeister and Mrs. H. Grant Johnson, spent a week recently in Mazatlan, Mexico, on a vacation trip. Mrs. Jayne Cook who left last month to make her home in Chicago, was here part of last week making plans for her moving. Elder Barry Scott DellaSil-vthe son of Mr. and Mrs. Barry DellaSilva, of Missoula, Mont., and formerly of Syracuse, has just completed his training at the MTC in Provo prior to his leaving for a mission to North Carolina. a, Terry Bennett has been away from school for the past week suffering with MR. Mr. Todd is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clardon C. Todd, of Ari-bColo. Miss Thomas was a graduate of Davis High School and the University of Utah, and also attended Brigham Young University. Currently she is employed at the U.S. Postal service in Craig. Colo. MR. MARSTON was born Jan. 4, 1913, in Kaysville, Ut., a son of Mr. and Mrs. Moroni Marston. Mary was bom Aug. 12, 1917, in Clearfield, Ut., the Miss Patricia Jo Thomas formally of Kaysville and Clardon y Ray Todd are planning a wedding to take place at the LDS Church cultural hall in Craig, Colo. Adults r John Nye, small son of Mrs. Kae Nye, has been receiving treatment this past week at the Humana Hospital Davis North for pneumonia. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Barber were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Swanner on Thursday evening at a dinner party in Salt Lake City. The occasion marked the birthday anniversary of Mrs. Barber. Mr. and Mrs. Braden Mann entertained on Wednesday evening with a family gathering in honor of their daughter Tara Lee, her fifth birthday anniversary. At the last gathering of the Syra-Lit- a Club, that was held on Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Lawrence R. Briggs, new officers for the coming year were selected. Chosen for the new president was Mrs. Juanita Stoker with Mrs. William S. (Nona) Holt, vice president; and Mrs. Norma Spencer, secretary and treasurer.
