With natural beauties of our mountains, vast plains and deserts, our fields being altered with highways, houses, supermarkets and streets to ac- commodate our life styles with efficiency and convenience, people are becoming aware that mans spirit demands that these things be pleasing to the eye and restful to the mind. And so we are turning more and more to landscaping and gardening, showing how we can combine beauty and utility in developing land. Growing America has created a need for housing. Mass production has created a need for individuality. Good landscaping is the only way to create an individuals own ideas and tastes. There are rules and guidelines that can be followed, but with being ambitious a scale, then practical and using common sense many of ones own ideas and methods can be involved.
