Walton of Vernon, Conn, all arrived to attend the funeral service of their father Col. Mrs. Darlene Galbraith and her son Ryan and his friend Chris Lloyd and Mrs. Bernice Galbraith spent the weekend at their summer home in Bear Lake, Ut. Dr. Coleman Scheuller and son Michael and his father, 3 Henry Scheuller, returned Sunday from a trip to Yellowstone National Park. Mr. and Mrs. DeWayne Thorne had as houseguests their grandchildren, Ron and Cheri Thorne and Renee Thome, all of Widefield, Colo. Ron will enter the U.S. Air Force July 21 and be stationed at Lackland AFB, Texas. Mrs. Lela Wright, who has been confined to the McKay Hospital for treatment, will be convalescing at the homes of her two sons, Mr. and Mrs. Don Wright and Mr. and Mrs. George Wright. Miss Michelle Jarman of SLC was guest over the weekend of Mrs. Hanna Jarman, her grandmother. Mrs. Diane Baszcynski has been confined to the St. Benedicts Hospital undergoing treatment for a serious illness. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Sheffield of Brea, Calif, visited with his mother, Mrs. Edith Sheffield, and other relatives of the area. Bishop Farrell Benson, Paul Lindiey, Rex Lindley and George J. Kershaw, accompanied the boys of the Kaysville 8th Ward on a five day outing to Lake Powell. Mr. and Mrs. Michael Bennett and son Jeremy arrived from Columbia, Md., to visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William S. Bennett tor two weeks and in Bountiful with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Dwain Buchanan spent last week in Salina, Ut. Mrs. Wilma Bloxham was hostess to the DeLite Pinochle Club Wednesday at the Coun- try Garden restaurant in Cleafield for their regular luncheon meeting. Bishop and Mrs. Grant Barnes and family vacationed last week at Lake Powell. Mr. and Mrs. DeWayne Thome accompanied six couples to Lava Hot Springs for an outing. They w ere friends who served in the North Carolina Mission with the Thornes. Mrs. Evelyn Hanks of SLC was a luncheon guest of her mother, Mrs. Lois Nielsen on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Butler and Mr. and Mrs. DeWayne Thome wer among the group of the Davis Antelope Trailer Club who spent the weekend at Farmington Stake Camp near tremonton on a outing. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Dorius are announcing the birth of their son July 9 at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden. Mrs. Dorius is the former Sherrill Dean Hall of Garland. He is their sixth child. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Dorius of Lewiston, and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hall of Garland, Ut. A houseguest of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Rigby was her brother Sherman Bone of Saratoga, Fla. He is now making his home in California. He also visited with his other sister, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Perkins and his brother, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Bone, during his stay. Mr. and Mrs. Vernell Swan-ge- r of Kaysville; Mrs. Dorothy of Widefield, Jarard of Bountiful; Mrs. Nellie Hull of Clearfield and Mr. and Mrs. Val McPhee of SLC, met at the Red Flame restaurant in Bountiful for their club dinner meeting on Tuesday. Visiting for Mrs. Marjorie Dinger and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Jansen, all of Kaysville are the grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Noble are moving to Kaysville from Las Vegas, Nev. They are parents of Ralph Noble and Mrs. Noble is a sister of Mrs. Lois Holliday and Mrs. Garth Johnson, both of Kaysville. nell Swanger. She was in Utah to attend a family reunion. Rick Thorne and his fiancee three days with Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Preece and family is her mother, Mrs. Rema Sorenson of Smithfield and Mrs. Sorensons granddaughter, Stephanie Ann Dudley of Twin Falls, Ida. and a Lindsay Ann Preece of Smithfield. Charles E. Wright of Orangevale, Calif, is visiting a month with his two brothers and their families, Mr. and Mrs. George Wright and Mr. and Mrs. Don Wright and his mother, Mrs. Lela Wright. Mrs. Ann Marcusen received her bachelor of science degree in English from WSC. While attending WSC she edited the campus literary The Metaphor magazine and won second place in the fiction writing contest. She also edited a textbook for the heredity department. She is the wife of Lex Marcusen. Mrs. Helen Barnes visited in Burley, Ida. w ith her two sons, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Barnes, and Mr. and Mrs. John Barnes and their families. While there she attended the baptism and confirmation of her granddaughter. Heather Barnes, and the blessing and naming of a new grandson, Bradley Ralph, both children of Charles and Linda Barnes. They also celebrated Lindas birthday on Sunday. Nathan Ricks of Rexburg, Ida. has been visiting with his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Seegmiller and family. Mrs. Dorothy Swanger Cummings of Island Park recently with Mr. and Mrs. Ver Colo, were guests of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. DeWayne Thorne for three days. Rick came to attend his Davis High School reunion. The Kaysville 9th Ward held a ward overnight camp out at Peterson Park near Tremonton. Carl and Pat Sabin were in charge of arrangements. Dr. and Steven Dinger of Boise, Ida. are announcing the arrival of their daughter, Stephanie, born July 11. At home is David, Danny, Melanie, John and Jamie. Mrs. Dinger is the former Alene Jansen of Kavsville. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Burgk of Minneapolis, Minn, are visiting with their son, Mr. and Mrs. Jurgen Burkg and family in Clearfield, and with Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Rigby. She will teach at Layton High again this fall. Len-nigra- Ronald and Yvonne Spencer hosted a family sw party at their pool on July 3 and July 8. The Spencerfami-l- y social was in honor of their g oldest grandsons birthday, Jonathan Bennion Spencer, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bennion L. Spencer. Their gran- ddaughter, Shea Spencer, daughter fo Mr. and Mrs. Robert R. Spencer, had her party on July 8. Special guest Mr. and Mrs. Dean Sheffield had special holiday guests at their summer home at Bear Lake. Grant and Lola Sheffield of Brea, Calif, and their grandson. Brooks Davis of Riverside, Calif, along with Grant and Lola Sheffield's daughter, Sherrie Sheffield of Orem, all enjoyed their stay at Bear Lake. Dean and Grant Sheffield are brothers. Mr. and Mrs. Golden C. Sill hosted a missionary reunion recently at Sills Cafe in Layton for friends and mi- ssionary companions who served together in the Easter State Mission over 40 years ago. Attending the reunion were Mr. and Mrs. Golden C. Sill, Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Zaugg. Mr. and Mrs. Alma E. Watter-soAlbert R. White and Mr. and Mrs. Marlowe C. Hodge. Many had not seen Mr. Hodge for 40 years. He and his wife serve on a genealogy mission in Oklahoma. They depart Sept. 1. They are members of the Kaysville 12th Ward. Elder David Marsden re- cently returned from serving his mission in Korea. He is the son of Mrs. Addie Marsden of Fruit Heights and a member of the Fruit Heights Second Ward. Elder Charles Manning, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Man- ning, is serving his mission in Alabama. He is a member of the Fruit Heights Third Ward. Elder Gary Balaich of the Fruit Heights Third Ward is at the MTC prior to leaving for his mission to Japan. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James R. Balaich. He is also a member Ka 7SV of the Fruit Heights Third Ward. Elder Brad Snell, son of Dr. and Mrs. George F. Snell, returned recently from his mission in Hong Kong. He gave his report July 18 in the Kaysville 20th Ward. David and Jolene Horrocks of Kay sville are announcing the birth of their son, Michael Wayne Horrocks. bom July 7. Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Stuart and family are home from a vacation trip to the East. They visited in Scranton. Penn, with their son, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Stuart and family and spent time in Washington. D C. as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Stuart. The Stuarts son. Warren Stuart, graduated from LDS Business College and is with the management training program of Harmons Food Co. in SLC. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Francis, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Beard. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Rounds. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Francis, recently moved into this area. Mr. and Mrs. Harris Adams and Mrs. Ruth H. Adams took advantage of the bad weather July 5 to travel to Burley . Ida. to visit w ith Mr. and Mrs. Neil Adams and family. Mr. and Mrs. Ned Giles and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Johnson and all of their families of Fruit Heights enjoved a week vacationing at Lake Powell enjoying trips on a houseboat, boating and water skiing.
