Show WEEKLY REFLEX DAVIS NEWS JOURNAL, NORTH DAVIS LEADER, JULY 1, 1982 LDS Temples Close In July The Jordan River Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Da- y Saints, in South Jordan, Utah, will close for two weeks following sessions on Saturday, July 3, a church news release said. TEMPLE President Donovan Van Dam says the closure will enable e employees as well as church-servic- e workers to take vacations. temple The temple will reopen on July 19 with sessions every 20 minutes on the following schedule: Mondays 5:40 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Tuesdays through Fridays 5:40 a.m. to 8 p.m. ; and Saturdays 5 a.m. to 8:40 a.m. for priesthood sessions, and 1 a.m. for regular full-tim- Single Campout Fri. LAYTON Single adults of the Layton LDS Region who are 26 and over will be going to the stake camp at Lyman Lake on July 2 through 4. Each individual or family should bring their own food and camping gear. Families are welcome. The cabins are available but the people in charge of the camp outing need to know in advance if the individual is planning to use a cabin. VAN DAM reminds saints in the Salt Lake Valley of the previously announced six month closure of the Salt Lake Temple for renovation of the mechanical systems, and encourages those in the Salt Lake Temple District to attend sessions at the Jordan River Temple. The Salt Lake Temple closes after the July 17 sessions and reopens Jan. 3, 1983. have their annual excursion to the Manti Pageant. Cost is $14.10. This includes bus fare. On the second and fourth Saturdays of the month beginning at 9 p.m. a dance is held in the LDS Church on 29th and Quincy in Ogden. A $2 donation is requested.
