PEGGY SAUNDERS English Teacher Honored KAYSVILLE - Davis High School FFA held their annual Sweetheart Contest Feb. They held 22-2- several contests throughout the week, some of which included roping a bale of hay, pounding a nail, saddling a horse and baking a cake. THURSDAY NIGHT they found themselves attending a party to announce the w inners. They were: Deanna Dredge, sweetheart; Mirian Warden, first attendant; Sherry Price, second attendant. Deanna will go to BYU on March 31 for the state contest. She received a jacket, a pin. and a gold chain necklace. All the contestants received Reflections Winners The following as winners of the Region II Reflection contest sponsored by the PTA in local schools. Thirty-nin- e schools participated for a total of 3,4 entries. The following 25 winner entries were sent to state PTA completion. Serving will be John Kaiserman, president; Rod Page, first bases of past involvement, scholastic ability, and their Offered Business machines, key punch, and accounting will be offered for eight weeks in the late afternoon at Clearfield High School on T ursdays starting March 25 p.m. 6 THE MOST up to date calculators and other office related machines will be available with a civil service certification being given to those who qualify. Enrollment is mited to 22 students, and the fee is $22 which includes all materials of instruction. Registration will take place the week of March 16 at the Clearfield High School Community School office by calling after 2:30 p.m. or you may register at the first class Thursday, March 25, room at 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. The general public is invited to attend. li- popularity in the election. FIRST PLACE winners in the contest determines who will represent the Davis Chapter at the FFA state convention held March 30 and 31 at BYU in Provo. Paul Kirby was first place winner in the prepared public speaking contest. DAVIS FFA SWEETHEART SC1 A The Kaysville Junior High PTA is featuring a special and fitness program at their March meeting. The program is scheduled for Thursday evening, March 18 at 7 p.m. at Kaysville Junior High. Dygert, horses; Kyle Anderson. crop production: Andrew Barker, fruit and veg. production and nursery production: Mitch Perkins, ag production: Davey Johns, soil and water. THE DAVIS Chapter also had a good show ing with their parliamentary procedure contestants. Second place winners in this division went to the following; Gary Clark, David Earl, Clark Rouche. Todd Wooley and David Barnes. Placing second in the extem- poraneous public speaking contest was Shawn Dygert. DR. TED Adams, the guest speaker, will speak on physical fitness.' Sue Smith of Jazz Action will demonstrate exercise with music. All parents are invited with a special invitation extended to mothers and sons.
