On March 8, 1924 at a luncheon the camp was divided and for a time each camp was called Kaysville Camp and 2 but on January 8, 1925 the second camp was named Sunflower and Phillips camp regained its name. Another camp wasn't formed in Kaysville until 1944 when Oakleaf came into being. WINN1FRED B. HYDE The National Organization of the Daughters of Utah Large Size 1 Pioneers is 81 years old this spring and here in Kaysville we have a camp still growing, strong and active. It is the Phillips Camp organized 60 years ago, March 2, 1922. TO HONOR this outstanding camp, the first DUP camp in this area, the North Center PHILLIPS camp has excellent minute books kept from its very beginning to the present day. It also has an outstanding scrapbook of newspaper clippings, events, obituaries, and pictures which chronicle not only the camp but the history of Kaysville. Phillips camp members have submitted more Davis County Company plans a special tribute to be given at their upcoming County Convention, March 13 at 10a.m. at the Layton Ward Chapel on 1410 E. Gentile St. The minutes of the very first DUP meeting of Phillips Camp show that the meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Frank Hyde. Mrs. Flora Horne of the Central Company presided.
