Christensen, 56, of 120 E. 900 N Layton, died Oct. 20, 1081 at his home of a heart attack. A special prayer service was held Oct. 24 in the sen. He married Patricia REMARKS by Bishop Covington and speakers were Bishop Lowell Taylor and Julian Robinson. Musical selections were given by Dr. Jack Johnson, Marie Taylor and Sherry Moyes. Sherry Thornley paid a tribute to Mrs. Thornley. The bendiction was given by Elliot Thornley. Pallbearers were Kevin L. Hill, Mark Stromberg, Louis Drakos, David Hill, Jeffery Morrison, Tim, Randy, Jon, Bryan, and Michael Thornley; Jim and Alan Willey; Paul and Brian Stromberg. Care of the flowers by the Kaysville 2nd Ward Relief Society. Dedication of the grave by Noel Stoddard. Interment in the Kay sville Layton Memorial Park. Mrs. Essie Jane Stoddard hornley, age 80. of 142 S. 300 E., Kaysville, died Oct. 22. 1981 in her home. She was horn June 14. 1901 in Losell. Wyo.. a daughter of Joseph Smith and Susan Ellen Thomas Stoddard. She married James Done Thornley on June 8. 1927 in the Logan LDS Temple. He died Sept. 24. 1974. SHE HAD lived in Richmond and Smithfield and in Kaysville the past 34 years. She was retired from the Naval Supply Depot. She was class president of North Cache High School in Richmond. Active in the Kaysville Second Ward, she served in various positions and was active in the Special Interest group. She was a member of the DUP. 1 sen, Pleasant View; Mrs. 1, 1950 in Layton. He worked for the Naval Supply Center, the U.S. Mapping Service and in general construction. He was a World War II veteran and served in the U.S. Navy. He has resided in Layton for the past 3 years, Nielsen Sept. Pilk-ingto- 'Ml SURVIVING are his widow of Layton; sons and daughter, Kurt J. Christensen, Clearfield; Bret N. Christensen, Layton; Mrs. Terry J. (Jody) Norris, San Leandro, Calif.; four grandchildren; brother and sisters, Warren Christen- Kaysville City Cemetery. MR. CHRISTENSEN was born Mar. 27, 1925 in Evanston, Wyo., a son of Neils and Mary Hutchinson Christen- MRS. THORNLEY was born June 14. 1901. Thetamily prayer was given by Joseph S. Funeral directors were Lindquist Kaysville 1 Joseph Malm, 53 Dies While Hunting The Weber County sheriffs office reports that a Kaysville man died of a heart attack at Monte Cristo on Friday morning. JOSEPH MALM, 53, of 521 E. 100 S., Kaysville, was hunt ing with his stepsons at the Sourdough wilderness campground at about 11:30 a.m. when he suffered a heart attack. He was rushed to Hill AFB Hospital where he"was pronounced dead. Rites For Fern E. Hatch gering illness. She was bom April 22, 1919 in Loa, Ut., a daughter of Hyrum Axel and Fern Ernstsen Hatch, age 62. of 424 W. 1st S Kaysville, died Oct. 23, 1981 after a lin Ella May Taylor Ernstsen. She married Chester D. Hatch Aug. 20, 1936 in Loa, Ut. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. SHE LIVED for many years in southern Utah, Long Beach, Calif., Layton and was a resident of Kaysville the past 30 years. Surviving are her husband of Kaysville; son, Dewain A. Hatch, Imperial Beach, Calif.; Killpack Rites Mars Clive Killpack, 51, of 1224 N. Holly Circle, Layton, was dead on arrival at the Logan Hospital Oct. 19, 1981 of injuries he suffered in an automobile accident. He was bom Feb. 20, 1930 in Ferron, Ut. a son of Clive and Mary Iva Olsen Killpack. He married Edith Ella Michaelis Sept. 27, 1949 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. SURVIVING are sons and daughters. Jay Done Thornley, Layton; Joseph S. Thorn- ley, Round Rock, Texas; Janice Morrison. Salt Lake City; Mrs. Leonard W. (Texie) Hill. Kaysville; Mrs. Wayne (Carolyn) Stromberg, Ogden; Mrs. Chris (Ruth) Drakos, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Steve (Suzanne) Willey, Fairfield. Calif.; 30 grandchildren and 29 greatgrandchildren. Also surviving are a brother and sisters. Noel Stoddard. Richmond, Ut. : Irene Stoddard, Kaysville. and Edith Ansley, Midvale, Ut. MR. KILLPACK had resided in Salt Lake City and Hunter, before moving to Layton in 1977. He attended the U. of U., was employed in construction work and was an active member of the LDS Church having served in various positions. Surving are his widow of k Lav ton; sons, Clive M. and David M. Killpack, Funeral services were held Oct. 26, 1981 for Essie Jane k nardino, Calif.; Scott A. and Sheldon L. Killpack, both of Layton; Donald T. Burrell, West Jordon; daughters, Mrs. Robert (Nell) Howell, Phoenix, Ariz.; Gayle Killpack and Linda Killpack, both of Layton; ten grandchildren. Women were given a booklet last year suggesting some dp. projects and goals they should set for themselves during the year. As an individual completed a project or a goal she was credited with a certain number of miles on the trek to Missouri.
