Kneedy of A family - 191 North Main, Kaysville on his 85th birthday anniversary on Feb. 28 at his home hosted ' by his children and grandchildren. 1 e MR. KNEEDY has been active in both civic and church positions throughout his life. He keeps active and is engaged in his many hobbies and He was born Feb. 28, 1895 in Fresno, Calif. His parents were Milton H. and Cora Bell Beard Kneedy. He attended school in Valley Falls, Kansas as a youth. He was married to Sarah B. Emma Beard on Christmas Day 1922 in Driggs, Ida. MR. KNEEDY worked as a mechanic while living in Jack-soHole, Wyo. from 1912 to 1937. He was later employed n with the Rocky Mountain Packing Corp. in Murray, Utah for eight years. The Kneedys moved to Kaysville in 1937 and he became owner and operator of the Davis MR. AND MRS. STEVE W. THOMPSON Exchange Vows Miv. Shaw' of 28 0 North 700 East, North Ogden. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard T. Reeder of Fruit Heights and Harold K. Thompson of Ogden. Following the ceremony, the couple was honored at a wedding breakfast at the l.ion House hosted by the groom's parents. That evening they received guests at a reception at the North Ogden Fifth and Sixth Ward Cultural Hall. FOR HER nuptial events the bride chose a floor-lengt- h gown of satin styled w ith a full skirt, elbow1 length sleeves and a coilai accented the neckline. Appliqued lace roses en- hanced the gowm. Her fingertip veil of silk bridal illusion was caught to a matching flower ciown. The bouquet consisted oof burgundy roses and rose buds accented with statice and red velvet streamers. Attending the bride was Miss Diane Oberg as maid of honor. Miss Marilee Canton-winMiss Jerrilyn Shaw and Miss Angela Reeder were bridesmaids. They wore floor length gowns of burgundy and pink. Kathy Sainsbury was the flower girl. KIRK LOGAN performed the duties of best man. Mike Thompson was usher. Follow ing a honeymoon trip to Flko, Nev., the newlyweds are making their home in Roy. He entertained many groups over the years with this act. He also enjoyed horseback riding with his w ife, earlier in his life. He w as active in the scouting program for 20 years. Ron Garcia carried out the duties of best man. Ushers included, Mark Garcia, Mario Garcia and Adrian Garcia. Also, Christopher Parrish, William Studiey and Ryan Cue. The couple are both graduates of Layton High School. His son, Larry, now owns and operates the business. He currently operates a series of rental apartments in Kaysville. Earlier in his life he enjoyed entertaining scout and civic groups with a knife and ax throwing demonstration, a skill and hobby he learned from the late movie actor, John Wayne. It was while he was living in Jackson Hole that John Wayne was making his first western movie there. In the picture the actor killed the villain by throwing a knife. Mr. Kneedy, 17, was intrigued by the act in the scene and by being there watching them practice for hours, became a friend of the actor. He decided he could throw the knife too. March 2 she was blessed and named Wendy at the Kaysville 17th Ward fast day meeting. the new mother will be remembered as the former Jena Slade of Las Vegas. Nev. The grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Iverson. Kaysville. and Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Slade of Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Iverson ot Salt Lake City are the A baby daughter arrived on Feb. 18 at the Davis North Medical Center to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dunford Jr. of Kaysville. She is their first child and weighed 8 lbs. oz. and w ill be named April Marie. The new mother will be remembered as the former Jane Morgan of Layton.
