SMITH hasn't had much chance to lose her Hair for that language, trying to teach it o her children, working with migrant education in the Davis School District for several years and most recently with the Spanish SOCIO group. At times her expertise has been put to the test as with a Spanish student who stayed in this country as the guest of a former LDS missionary for two years. "He spoke no English but they enrolled him in the fifth grade. I worked with him for two years. I helped him with his schoolwork." she recalls. librarian. We developed an advisory committee including members of the community and established a bookmobile stop at the Housing Authority (complex in north Layton) and that is ongoing. GATHERUM PERRY JORDAN lieves that it is very important to be involved with improving living standards in his community. He feels very strongly about serving his community and helping the people who live in it. Volunteering is the perfect way to satisfy this need. Perry is married to the former Carolyn Smedley. They have four children. He presently holds the posution of bishop in the LDS Church. WHILE PERRY is not busy with his regular position with Job Service in Bountiful, or with his ward, or with his "extrajob" of serving as chairperson on the Referral Agent Subcommittee, he finds time to do some camping, backpacking, fishing and hunting with his family.
