She has been Assistant Professor and Field Faculty Member at Utah State University for 13 years. Warren Ferguson has been delighting various groups with his turkey demonstrat- ion for 15 years. He will show how to remove the carcass of a turkey, fill the cavity with stuffing and sew it back up again. FERGUSON Electrical FFA SUPERINTENDENT HONORED By SUSAN IPAKTCHIAN The Davis Central Elementary PTA Council met on Nov. 1 in the board of education building to honor retiring Supt. Bemell Wrigley. SUPT. WRIGLEYS retirement will be Dec. 31, after serving for 14 years as the Davis County School Districts chief official. The opening speaker was Dr. Lawrence E. Welling, who spoke about his many years of association with Supt. Wrigley. Dr. Welling told of the many wise decisions that the superintendent had made and of the time and consideration that he had put into the solution of each problem that arose. Dr. Welling also expressed the great admiration he held for Supt. Wrigley. ROLAND LONG, who is the principal representative on the council, then spoke. He stated that, as a principal, he had always been able to go to the superintendent with his problems. He said that he viewed Supt. Wrigley as a man who was genuinely concerned. The councils teacher representative, Mrs. Carol Dunford, then expressed two thoughts which she thought exemplified Supt. Wrigley. MRS. LOLA Ipaktehian then read and presented a plaque to the superintendent on behalf of Mrs. Marda Dillree. Mrs. Ipaktehian also stated that, in the short time that she had known Supt. Each member brought a snack for the ceremony and they met on Oct. 24. Davis Schools Supt. Bernell Wrigley was honored recently by the Davis County PTA. Appropriately enough, PTA Pres. Lola Ipaktehian presented the retiring school chief with a cake in the shape of a school Schools Future Homemakers of America. Thurgood, Pam Combe, Monty Tubbs, Sheryl Jerve, Jay Hansen, Tami Brimhall, Steve Cash, Mathew Padilla, Lisa Bingham, Micheal Stoker, Rex Carter, Eric Masero and Kenny Edwards- THE PRESIDENT of the FFA Associates came to the activities. He also: gave a talk on the FFA and how he started out. Other members who gave talks were Monty Thurgood and Wayne Hansen. Class Of 74 Reunion Set The Davis High School graduating class of 1974 is holding their five year class reunion on Saturday, Nov. 10. All class members and their partners are invited to meet at Davis High at 12:30 p.m. and lunch will be served at 1 p.m. in the cafeteria. Cost is $2.50 per person or $5 a couple. For example, he was assigned to cover a serious drought in southern Utah several years ago, and when he got to the scene, there was a flash flood and the bridge washed out. Still a story, yea; but not what he was assigned. His television reporting is closely related to aspects of jounalistic feature reporting. Frosciiool The Davis County School District is again sponsoring a Parent Cooperative Preschool for children, ages 4 and 5 years who are not in kindergarten at the Vae View Elementary School in Layton. Saturday and Sunday THE PRESCHOOL will be held three days a week for two hours a day. This program is a comfor bination preschool children and an inservice training program for parents, designed to help them develop additional parenting skills. THE COST is $17.50 per month.
