Judges also saw the girls in bathing suits and held private interviews with each girl. Miss Brimley, a freshman majoring in music and drama, sang an soprano solo from LaBohomia for her Rotary Club Meets Kaysville Rotarians met Wednesday evening at Davis High School for their regular dinner meeting. This film was recently produced to be shown outside of Utah, to promote an interest for tourists to visit the state. HE SAID they are striving presently to have local com- munity attractions, such as historic homes, etc. included in the National Travel Directory and Tour Guides. He gave ap informative talk on the importance of creating interest of tourist attraction throughout the state, np Syra-Lit- a the schools production of The King and I. will Miss Brimley represent Weber State in the Miss Utah for Miss America contest, dmg Dinner Is Changed K-- F Karen Brimley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Brimley of 434 Owens Street, Layton was crowned Miss Weber State College on Friday Evening, March 30. Miss Brimley competed for the title against 13 other Weber State coeds. CONTESTANTS were judged on their beauty, poise, personality and talent. H SPRING DANCE SET Members of the Varianne Dance Club, including Dale and Gaylene Goede, of Layton, are limbering up for their spring dance April 20. The Varianne Dance Club will hold its spiing dance on April 20 from 9 p.m. until midnight in the Weber State Student Union College Ballroom. Dress for the dance will be casual. The musical group is the New Creation. Refreshments will be served. The dance sponsors are Keith and Jean Westbrooke and Cloy and Jewelene Child. THERE WILL be dance instruction from 8 until 9 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Driggs will be the teachers. Cost for the instuctions will be $2 per couple. The Dance Varianne Club will meet monthly from September until spring in the Weber State Student Union Ballroom. Instructions are given prior to each dance. THERE IS a small charge for the instructions. Usually, each dance is complete with refreshments, door prizes and a floor show. The club dances to all types of music from Charleston to Disco.
