IN YEARS past the Falcons have had to face powers like Bountiful and Viewmont, a couple of clubs that have been blessed with a lot of great soccer players over the years. Beating these clubs was almost impossible for a school which didnt have the junior program that benefitted the others. Braves and Vikings are in a different Now the region and the Clearfield area has come a long way in the youth programs. The high school is starting to benefit. AT FIRST glance the soccer club resembles that of the wrestling team as several outstanding grapplers have taken to this sport. One of the top players on the squad was a grappler this past year for Clearfield in Abel Narvez. Abel has excellent ball control and seems to run the club from his forward position. Another grappler who plays extremely well on a soccer field is Alan Ragen who never seems to run out of gas. As one opposing coach noted, I could get some of my players to hustle after the ball the way that Ragen kid does. What he lacks in talent he more than makes up for in desire and hustle. wish I guided the club over the years, is pleased with his team and their chances this season. Who Turkey Hunt Not Good 2.
