Purdy of San Jose, Calif, hosted a breakfast at the Grey Cliffs Lodge in Ogden Canyon following the ceremony. RECEPTION was given in their honor that evening at the Layton Fourth Ward cultural hall. A Mrs. Blaine Johnson was matron of honor and Mrs. Alan Yeamon, Mrs. Sally Marston, Mrs. Wayne Reese and Miss Sandy Purdy were the brides attendants. Miss Rebecca Reese, Heidi Reese, Shelly Reese, Miss Heather Austad and Melissa Austad were the flower girls. The attendants were dressed in red satin crepe and carried white muffs. THE BEST man was Alan Yeamon with Wayne Reese, Dirk Johnson and Kelly Purdy as the ushers. Mrs. Robert Austad greeted guests at the book. Each girl held a single mauve colored carnation. EACH MOTHER wore a deep plum floral print dress with white and pink accents. Their were corsages stephanotis and pink carnations. Acting ushers were Mike Allen, Floyd Simpson, Theron Simpson and other assistance was rendered by Jeff Simpson, Kris Simpson and Scott Simpson. The groom graduated from Davis High School, attended Weber State and has fulfilled a LDS mission to the Washington Mercer Island Mission. The child will be named Cathilyn Valentine. Five sisters and two brothers were on hand when she arrived from the hospital on Valentines Day. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Noble Chambers of Smithfield and Mr. and Mrs. August Ray Valentine of Marysvale, Kansas. Wade Evans Green, son of Scott H. and Galynn Jackson Green of 1434 E. Cherry Lane, East Layton, was born Feb. 10 in an Ogden hospital. The Greens are parents of two other children. East Layton residents, Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Green and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Jackson are the grandparents. On Feb. 10, a baby girl was born to James M. and Carolyn J. Swensen Brown.
