Jan Revell Davenport, 1768 N. 1475 W Layton, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 1977 at his home of cancer. He served an LDS mission in England and was a stake missionary. He had been a seminary teacher for 23 years. He had served as a member of the Kaysville 3rd LDS Ward bishopric and a former high councilman. HE WAS bom Aug. 23, 1948 in Ogden, a son of John Revell and life-lon- Butcher, Fruit Heights; A. Gam Butcher, Granger and Mrs. John (Vemean) Perry of 10 Mich., Lansing, grandchildren and one brother, Carl Butcher of Fruit Weber State College. HE WAS a member of the Layton 19th LDS Ward. The accident happened about 11:30 p.m. Saturday. Hyde Clearfield Cuts Beauty Shop Work A Clearfield woman has lost her court battle to operate a beauty shop in her home after a jury of three men and one woman found her guilty of violating the citys home occupations ordinance. She was fined 5299 and six months in jail, with $199 and the jail sentence suspended on payment of $100 and an informal proba- tion to the court for one year. MRS. The Lydia Circle of the Womens Mission Society met at the home of Ursula Dixon Tuesday at 10 a.m. Loose Horse Demolishes Automobile On Wednesday, Nov. .30, Vincent Androwsky of Kaysville barely escaped serious injury when the car he was driving struck a large horse that was in the road. The accident occurred near 1600 N. Fort Lane, Layton. TWO unclaimed horses had been roaming the area for two or three days. As Mr. Androwsky traveled south on Fort Lane, he swerved to miss the lighter colored mare and struck the darker gelding horse. The accident happened shortly after 10 p.m. MR. Androwsky suffered multiple minor cuts on both of his hands. His car was totally demolished, having sustained irreparable damage to the hood, windshield and roof. The horse apparently leaped over the car. The horse that hit into the car was stiff but not seriously cut or injured. A neighbor kept the animals over night.
