It was the first time they had all been together in over five years. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Cloward, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Howard and family, Mr. and Mrs. Phil Leonard and family of Kaysville; Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Stevens of Far- mington enjoyed the Memorial Holiday weekend at Mackey, Idaho on a fishing trip. Mr. and Mrs. Steven Talbot and three children of Pima, Arizona are visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Talbot. Mr. and Mrs. Jake Barton and family recently returned from a ten day vacation trip to the east on the Bicentennial and Church History tour. Mrs. George F. Snell will accompany her mother, Mrs. Joseph Olpin of Heber City and her four sisters Mrs. George Knight of Heber City, Mrs. Paul Loetscher, Mrs. Bruce Wasden and Mrs. Richard Haight of Salt Lake City to Denver, Colo, where they will be guests of her other sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Hardy Anderson for a five day stay as a family mother and daughters reunion. This is an annual reunion which they all look forward to each year. Mr. and Mrs. Tommie Matthews and eight children enjoyed a ten day vacation trip to Calif. Captain and Mrs. Seth Jen sen and family are moving June 8 to San Antonio, Texas to make their home on his new assignment Elder Allen Harris has been released from serving a two year LDS mission to the Oregon Mission. He returned home by plane Thurs., May 27. He is a member of the Kaysville 11 LDS Ward. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Harris of Fruit Heights. Kendall Ence accompanied his son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Barton Ence of Centerville on a three week vacation and trip to the Eastern drove Southern States. They back and visited all the Mormon Church History points enroute to Washington D.C. and on to New York. Then on down to Florida where they visited with Mrs. Barton Ences parents, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Taylor and then back to Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Lincoln and family spent the holiday weekend at Twin Falls, Idaho with their parents, Mrs. Margaret Lincoln and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Armga. Mrs. Alma C. Nielson of a houseguest last week of her daughter and family Mr. and Mrs. David 0. Smith. She came to attend the piano and violin recital of her Provo was Julianne granddaughter Smith on Wed. evening. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Allred of St. George were holiday guests of Mrs. Ora They Campbell. spent Memorial Day at Roosevelt and Price. . After making 583 puzzles out of childrens names, H. J. (Hiney) Bishop is still going strong. Although he began making wooden puzzles for his own children many years ago, be began with children's names about four years ago when his physical activity was restricted because of illness. He experienced many sleepless nights after surgery in February 1972 and decided to make a name puzzle for one of his grandchildren. In addition to the name puzzles, Mr. Bishop makes ones with the alphabet, numbers and some of childrens favorite characters such as Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. BESIDES puzzles, Mr. Bishop creates many other things with wood. Doll cradles, miniature kitchen stoves and cupboards, and the Christmas scene displayed on the Kaysville City lawns each Christmas are iust a few. Mr. Bishop was bom in Salt Lake City and moved with his family to Michigan. He returned to Utah in 1926 and worked as a plaster contractor, operated a service station, served in world war II, worked as a mechanic and salesman for Bishops Ford Company, worked for E & M Ford Co., and Larsen Ford Co. BOTH MR. Bishnn and his wife Pearl are active in the LDS Church activities and are the parents of one daughter Mr. and Mrs. Robert Major and family will attend the graduation exercises at Utah State University where their son Steve Major and his wife Susan both graduated. Steve received his majors in Political Science and Languages and his wife Susan received her degree in Social Science. Steve will be entering Law School at the University at San Diego, Calif, this fall. President and Mrs. Clinton D. Zollinger and family spent Memorial Day in Logan with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Nelson and other relatives and friends in the area. Mrs. Iris Snydergaard attended the Annual National League of America Pen Womens Convention in Tremonton on Sat. May 22. Sister Mar Diene Jeffs who has been serving on an LDS mission to the Netherlands Amsterdam Mission returned home May 15 on a medical -- leave of absence. Miss Jeffs is the daughter of Lt. Col. (Ret.) and Mrs. Dean Jeffs of Fruit Heights. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Peterson and children of Page, Arizona were houseguests of her parents Mr. and Mrs. James Rasmussen and family. They came for the wedding of Mr. Petersons brother Brooks Peterson held in Ogden. Mrs. James Rasmussen and her mother Mrs. Wallace Hight of Farmington went by plane to Los Angeles, Calif, to visit with their sister and daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Allred and to be on hand for the wedding of Leslie Allred, a daughter erf Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Allred. They were guests for one week and whiie there, visited points of interest in the area. Sunset Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Thornton are the oarents of a baby girl bom May 25 at the McKay-De- e Hospital. Mrs. Thornton is the former I.orena Dalton. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Dalton of Sunset.
