During this Bicentennial era of recollection, it may be interesting to long time Davis County residents to see the men who participated in the first 40 percent draft for world war I. Morgan, Layton; William C. n; e; m The Sunset Junior High School held its ninth grade advancement exercises recently in the gymnasium of the school. Conducting the activities of the evening was Lynn J. Wilcox, principal of the school. THE PROGRAM consisted of prayers by Charlene Davis and Kari Ann Kato, ninth grade class vice president and ninth grade class secretary. A welcome was given by Mark Wayment, president of the ninth grade class. Student speakers were Mark Reid and Cheryl Waybum. THE COMBINED ninth grade choruses under the direction of Evan Allred sang Halls of Sunset, accompanied by Gaylene White and Movin On, accompanied by Sandee Gottschalk. Introduction of the' speaker was given by Principal Wilcox. Guest speaker was Joseph A. Kjar, associated vice president of Bonneville International. Graves and to be on hand for the graduation of their granddaughter Miss Jennifer Graves who graduated from Davis High School on Wednesday evening. Another houseguest of the Graves family is Miss Anna Linse of Sweden who arrived by plane to visit with them for sue weeks. Upon her return to Sweden, Jennifer Graves will accompany her for a six week stay in Sweden with Annas parents. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lay-to- n and daughter Kristen of Las Vegas, Nev. are visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Layton. Lt. Col. (Ret) and Mrs. Morey B. (Bud) Jeffery have returned home for three months after spending the winter at Vermilion, Ohio with his mother Mrs. Edna son-in-la- Naegele. Enroute home they enjoyed a visit with their son and his family, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Jeffery at Flint, Michigan. Mrs. Jay L. Webster left by plane for Denver, Colo, to welcome a new grandson bom May 25 to Mr. and Mrs. Barton Lunt. She will be there to help with the new arrival for 10 days and then will be joined by her husband Jay and daughter Candace and son Drew for a short visit and they will all return home together. Washington, ' . Mr. and Mrs. H. Glenn Austin and granddaughter Chelle Ylovey, spent the Memorial Holiday in Calif. where they were guests of their daughter and family,. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Howard, at San Francisco. The Howards accompanied them up the coast for a family trip together. The Austins have now returned home.
