Slack, Brad Moosman, class two-tim- Satellite Registration: new to Sanpete voters MANT- I- The new voter registration process goes into effect this election year with the satellite registration program for those wishing to vote in the Nov. 5 general election. Those who might need to register are those who have not previously voted or those who may need to revise their voter registration because of changes in name or address. Prospective voters must be U S. citizens, be residents of Utah for at least 30 days immediately before the next election, be at least 18 years old by the next election, and have their principal place of residence within a specific voting Utah precinct. Mt MT. PLEASANT-- A Pleasant man sustained serious injuries Oct 9, at L27 pm when he failed to stop at a stop sign on a road crossing Highway 89 about two miles south of here, according to a report from the Utah Highway Patrol. Berkley White, 86, was traveling westbound in his 1986 Ford pick-u- p when the vehicle was struck by a southbound 1976 dump truck owned and driven by Clark Thomas, 41, Spanish Fork Lance Bushnell of the UHP office stated that the officer's report noted that White's vision was probably obstructed by the window post on the truck. White was transported by ambulance to Sanpete Valley Hospital then transferred to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center (UVRMC), where as of press time he was m ICU listed in critical condition. It was unknown if White was wearing a seatbelt. Thomas was wearing one. A citation for failure to stop was issued to White. |
