Miss Mikkelsen will also answer any questions pertaining to the contest and what will be expected from the girls during the morning interviews. A panel of six judges will decide who will reign as 1983 Sweetheart. The areas of judging will be on poise and personality, appearance and photogenics, and horsemanship and horsemanship knowledge. The girls will answer questions on current events, personalities in Sanpete County, knowledge of horses, rodeo and horsemanship techniques. They will be required to model the outfit they have chosen for the competition and give a narrative with the modeling routine. Jensen said the request to transfer funds from the citys general funds to the Power Department will be considered when the budget has been completed.
