The Danish Oven is great for cooking Sunday dinners, too. It comes in two sizes, square which holds 10.5 quarts, and nine-inc- h square, which holds 6.5 quarts. Each comes with a special recipe folder. They are produced in Ohio, Las Vegas and Vancouver and can be purchased through the Boy Scouts and sporting goods stores. Locally information is available from Mrs. Ray Sorensen, Thompsen is a graduate of North Sanpete High School, attended Snow College, and graduated from Utah State University. He is retired from the US Air Force and owns a home in Spring City which he intends to be his permanent home. oven? The typical Dutch oven is round while the Danish oven is 12-in- square. The innovative utensil designed by of Charles and Adelaine Thompsen of Spring City, takes the same amount of room as a round one but has more volume. It also fits square cabinets for easier Warren Thompsen, son storage. The Danish oven design is the result of Warrens 30 years of camping and Scouting experiences. 462-217- As a scout leader he experienced many times when a boy left the frying pan or griddle at home, and he also found that when they buried the scout Dutch oven, dirt was always getting into the food. Scouts were always burning their gloves and hands from the hot handles. Warren designed everything that had been a problem out of the Danish oven, and everything he liked into it. The flat lid makes into a frying pan. Turn it over and it is a griddle. The lid extends over the base so no dirt can get in when it is buried. The lid has an internal flange to keep in moisture. The bail, frying handle and hook are all detachable. The base is flat so when the oven comes home from camping trips it can be used on top of the Fairview plans Clean-u- p Day FAIRVIE- W- Clean-UDay for Fairview City will be Sat., May 21 according to city officials. The decision was made following discussion of concerns for homes and businesses having secondary buildings which were used infrequently, but which still needed the sewer service. The new ordinance which was adopted reads, Sewer rates for lots with more than one structure which have plumbing facilities in each structure but do not qualify as multiple family dwellings will only be charged for one sewer connection fee provided that the property is under single ownership with provision if the property is ever divided necessitating a second hookup then the normal hookup fee in effect at that time will apply. In other council information, John Keller has accepted an appointment for one year as chair of the general advisory committee. The committee is made up of volunteer citizens who donate time and effort to improve Manti.
