Hi is is a fun place to hunt, and so good to be with ones family. Lizzie FTN. GREEN JESSIE OLDROYD Mr. and Mrs. J. D. (Linda Jean I Heck at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Bailey. At Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Oldroyd helped to celebrate the 84th birthday of her father, Amos Draper, of Moroni Nov. 4. The birthday dinner was prepared by Mrs. Draper, age 80. Mr. Draper still drives his car and does the family shopping. A very happy birthday to you, Mr. Draper. .Mrs. Geo Coombs and Mrs. La Von Coombs entertained the at Stitch n Chat Club LaVon's home. A very tasty "Dutch Oven chicken dinner was served to the following members: Nettie Bigler, l.eona Mower, Isabel! Johnson, Lizzie Oldroyd, Vera Johnson. Taya Madsen, Mrs. Pierce, and hostess. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Anderson and family of Sandy at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vurl Morgan. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Oldroyd and family, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Oldroyd at their parents home, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Oldroyd. remarked: Lynn tell, but I got 100 Shh. the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Nielson were their Mrs. Leonard Oldroyd was hostess to her club members at her home, Thursday afternoon, Nov. 5. The following members enjoyed her delicious luncheon: Mable Olsen, Mable Allred, Gladys Winters, Rozetta Eggan, Luella Mikkelson, Alyce Wilkins, Naomi Allred, Sada Rasmussen, and hostess. Crowther, 2 day. 1 got a pheasant for every shot I fired. How many? One shot . . . One bird! Hows that for a 100 percent? Tis the time of Halloween: Spooks, goblins, downs, cowboys, cats! . . .oh, every character could be seen. What a costume party it was: And guess what? There was a special witch who came flying in on her broomsticks, dancing around, and taking children for a ride on her broom ; and a storyteller with Halloween tales; goodies to eat . . . like hamburgers, candy and punch. Fun games . . . fish pond, crows and darts, ring toss, etc. All in all, a successful Primary Halloween party under direction of the Primary presidency. Many mothers came out to be with their children. Ooooooo! They were not the usual hunters, for they spent most of their time at the Homecoming celebration at Snow College. At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Bajley were a son and daughter with their families: Mr. and Mrs. Mark Bailey of Vernal, Mr. and Mrs. Scott (Ann) Theurer and children of Logan. Mark and his family have been living in Folsom, California. They are now living in Vernal, where Mark is Area Manager of the B.L.M. (Bureau of Land Management). Monday visiting and Mrs. Gilbert Albiston and son, Gary of Craig, Colorado were overnight guests, Nov. S at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Cook. Ihe following day the Cooks and Albistons went through the Manti Temple. On Nov. 7 Gary entered the mission home in Salt Iike prior to his going on a mission for the L. I). S. Church. Ilis will be in headquarters Oklahoma. Mr. OTHER VISITORS Mr. and Mrs. Olof Christensen enjoyed having their friends Mr. and Mrs. Ray Jackson of Sacramento, California here to visit with them for three days. Mr. Jackson was originally from Chester, and Mrs. Jackson from Mrs. ILL. (Dora) Spencer of Denver, Colorado spent a week visiting her with her father, Mr. K. M. Ivory, and other relatives and friends. Rakisist California. Lambert of LaCrescenta, are very wonderful friends of our missionaries, having shared They their home with 150 of them, including some of our own Ftn. Green1 missionaries: Clair Olroyd, George Cook, and Louis Cook. Mr. and Mrs. Raksist have just been called to fulfill a mission in Germany. Mr. Robert Ivory of Overland Park, Kansas spent Monday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ivory, and visited with other members of his family. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Poulsen of Salt Lake City were visitors Tuesday at the home of Jessie Oldroyd. Poeomoke, Maryland. Ludeen had just been selected and sustained as the new Relief president of the Society Salisbury Branch. Mrs. daughters, Dorothy .Ann and Betty lxu, called around for ts M. Mr, and Mrs. Anderson attended church Sunday with their family to witness the naming of this new baby by his father. are proud BELIEF SOCIETY A very interesting meeting of the Relief Siciety was held Tuesday, Nov. 10 where Stake work leaders, Mrs. Paul (Jewell) Bailey and Mrs. Merrill (Nedra) .Anderson, and Ward work directors, Mrs. Dover (Phyllis) Oldrovd, and Mrs. Reed (1th a) Green had so many different, cute and beautiful items to show and demonstrate the making of, such as stocking dolls, rag and yarn dolls, Christmas trees, wreaths, and all kinds of Christmas decorations. These leaders have surely spent a lot of time preparing all of these lovely items. NEW BABIIES Mr. and Mrs. Glen Mikkelson of Woods Cross proudly announce the birth of a 10 lb. 7 oz. baby girl, Nov. 9, 1970 at the Bountiful Hospital. The Mikkelsons have three boys, Alan, twins, Scott and Paul, and one girl, Debbie. Grandparents to welcome the new little girl are Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ivory and Mr. and Mrs. During the hunting season are E. and Mrs. and Oldroyd. Wan ship. for the men, it is a great time for the ladies to have a little vacation trip, too. Mrs. Glen (Mary Ellen) Bailey and two Mrs. Effie Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Chesley Johnson and sons, Mike and Keith, attended the wedding reception of Mrs. Johnson's grandson, Mark Mrs. Olevia Mikkelson of An- derson is very happy for her daughter's new assignment and her service in the L. D. S. Branch. We all send our congratulations to LuDeen. Mikkelson; Mr. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan J. Turnbow traveled to Coalville to attend the wedding of a nephew of Mr. Turnbows, David Wright. On Sunday they went to sacrament meeting where the program was presented by Mrs. Alta Clark (sister of Mr. Turnbow) and family. The same day, Mrs. Clark's son, Brad Clark was ordained an elder. He will leave soon for an L. D. S. mission. They enjoyed a family dinner in in (Ludeen) Elmer Mary's mother, Mrs. Irvin (Dorothy) Oldroyd, and off they went to Salt Lake. They treated themselves to breakfast at a cafe, a movie, and an afternoon dinner, loured the new A'alley Fair Mall, and came home . . . Nice day for them! 'Hie men dont have all the fun. Mrs. Arvilla Anderson has just returned home, after having spent two months with her daughter and family: Mr. and Mrs. Dale (Helen) Bray , and two sons, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Anderson, Bp. and Mrs. Ruel Anderson, all of Salt Lake City, While in Salt Lake Mrs. Anderson received a telephone call from her daughter, Mrs. Wayne Also guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Cook the past week were Mr. and Mrs. Alex N'ephi. Kendall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas (Mary) Kendall of Irovo, and Miss Jill Harding, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Harding of Orem, Friday evening, Nov. 6 at the Reception Center in Orem. Everyone was busy learning and cutting patterns. Af- - Utahs 1970 antelope hunt was one of the best in the States history, according to figures released by the Division of Fish and Game. A record 185 permits were issued and hunters harvested 158 buck antelope. Four permit holders did not hunt. The 1970 harvest is the largest number of antelope harvested since 1945, when the first modern day hunt was sanctioned. Hunter success in 1970 was 87 percent-w- ell above the long term hunter success average of 67 percent. Was she the proud one. Dr. and Mrs. Alder and their children have been living in Kansas City, Missouri for four years while he has been attending dental school. They were early morning breakfast guests of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Cook. They went hunting with Frank, Louis, and all being quite Lynn Cook lucky, then they enjoyed a late dinner with the Cook family before returning to their homes.
