He was born March 20, 1922 in Ortiz, Colorado, a son of Timoteo and Frances Gallegos Lopez, Sr. He married, Percy Montoya in 1947 in California; they were later divorced. He married Dora Naranjo in June, 1966, in Evanston, Wyo. Tim was reared and educated in Colorado; he moved to Utah in 1947. He was a veteran of WWII, serving as an Army Engineer in the South Pacific. He was a memberof the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Layton. He enjoyed bowling, hunting and coaching Little League. He was a devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Dora of Clearfield, one son and four daughters, Orland Lopez, Sunset; Cheryl Gusterson, Salt Lake; Laura K. Samora, Lay- ton; Frances Martinez of Sunset; Barbara Gonzales, Clearfield; 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was born July 23, 1904 in Carlisle, England, to David and Hannah Foster Penman. She came as an infant to live in West Weber, attending schools in Weber County and Weber Academy, She married Henry John Marigoni, January 18, 1928. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived and farmed in Hooper. He died September 22, 1957. She was a member of the Hooper 4th Ward and had served in manyorganizations in her earlier years. After her husband died, she worked as a cook at Pete's Cafe in Wilson Lane for many years. Her family was always the joy in herlife. She is survived by her son Robert Barbara) and four grandsons, Gregg Nancy); Brent (Debra); Roger (Susan); and Mark (Audrey) Marigoni, all of Hooper; great-grandchildren, Amye (Scotty); Mareena, Kyle, Travis (Melanie); Blake, Nathan, Matt, Kaycie, Allie and Arielle; also a sister, Grace Taylor of Burley, Idaho. She has been a resident of Brigham City for more than 80 years. Many in the community remember her as a long-time employee at J.C. Penney on Main Street in Brigham City. She was one of the charter members of the Civic Improvement Club and helped organize the L’Apres Medi Club and Dansante dancing club. She had served as president of the North- ern District of Utah Federated Women's Club. She was also known for her musical talents and spent more than 40 years singing at funerals, church events and civic affairs in the community. She also shared her musical talents at churchin the Sunday School, MIA and Relief Society. She had been a Relief Society visiting teacher, a counselor in Junior Sunday School and a counselorin Primary presidencies. She served on a Primary Stake Board and workedin the Indian Branch when the Indian School wasstill operated in Brigham City. She was also an ordinance work- er in the Ogden LDS Temple for many years. She moved with her family to Brigham City in 1914 and attended Central School and Box Elder High School. She and her husbandfilled many church assignments, including an LDS Mission to Queensland, Australia. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1973. Survivors include two sons: Robert S. (Geri) Nelsen of McAllister, Mont., and Kirk R. (Joan) Nelsen, Brigham City; grandchildren: Pam (Dave) Muirbrook, Kevin (Karen) Nelsen, Dan (Heidi) Nelsen, Mitch (Holli) Nelsen, Robert Steven (Jody) Nelsen, Michael C. (Car- rie) Nelsen, Kaylene Nelsen; 31 greatgrandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Randall S. Nelsen. Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Brigham City 2nd LDS Ward Church, 420 S. 800 West, Brigham City.
