Show Page 6—THE HERALD, Provo, Utah Sunday, October 11, 1970 Elks Annual Leadership Bill’s Appliance Event Nominations Open Nominations in the 22nd annual Elks National Youth Leadership Contest are now being accepted, according to Eralted Rulerof the Provo Elks Lodge, Karl 0. George. Entry deadline is Jan. 4, 1971. Open to boys andgirls under 19 years of age who compete in separate divisions, the contest has local, state and national awards. Contestants will be judged on leadership ability, Americanism TWO YOUNG MEN, plus a dollar and an appetite, equal one giant Spudnut. When John Blair,left, and his brother Grant of Orem, decided they wanted a denganand found and citizenship $75, third place will be $50 and therewill be §25 each for fourth, fifth and sixth places. Local first place winners will be eligible for the state com- petition and will be assured of winning a minimum of $25 in bonds. They will be competing for a total of $2,000 in bonds in each of the boys aml girls divisions.
