A new baptistry was installed in the auditorium and six new classrooms and two modern nurseries were built in the basementas a result of the remodeling program. Rev. Lewis Huff of the Boys and Girls committee is chairman of the show, assisted by Osmond Dunford, Neldon Stevons and Dale Elmer. In transit, most floral arrangements are in containers with low water levels to prevent spillage. Therefore, it is important to check gift floral arrangements to see if adequate water is available to the flowers. “The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse DAN E. FORBES Son of Mr. and Mrs. William All High Schools In WASHINGTON (UPI) — President Johnson has invited the Mormon Tabernacle Choir to sing in the White House on July 23, Sen. Framk E. Moss, DUtah, announced Friday. Moss said the choir would stop in Washington on its way to New York City where it will appear on Utah Day, July 24, at the World’s Fair. Visitor Will Preach At St. Mary’s The Reverend Dr. Walter C. Hofheing from Westminster College, Salt Lake City, will be guest preacher at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Provo today, iat: the 9980 andi ll¥a, m. services. . Dr. Hofheinz is coming in connection with Christian College Sunday, an annual observance emphasizing the contribution of Christian Colleges to American life. An ordained Methodist minister, Dr. Hofheinz recently completed his Ph. D. work at Union Seminary in New York City, and is presently a religion department professor at Westminster. His B.A. and All 10 of Utah County’s high schools have been accredited by the Northwest Association of Secondary and High Schools as meeting its standards regarding professional standing of instructors, facilities and program. This was revealed in a survey conducted this week by The Herald. The association, which accredits high schools, colleges and universities each year, functions within the states of Oregon, Washington, Montana, Utah, Nevada and Wyoming. Accreditation of a high school is important especially to the student who attends the school who intends to go on to college, according to Dr. Sherman Wing, assistant superintendent of the Provo School District. He said a student attending a non-accredited high school, has some difficulty as far as ad- 4-H Club Organized The Seamstresses 4-H Club of Vineyard recently organized with the following officers: Carol Christensen, president; Sherol Christensen, vice president; Terry Oliver, secretary, and Diane Shumway, reporter. Some of the items checked by the accrediting group are teacher classloads, whether teachers are working in their major or minor fields rather than just being used to fill a gap, minimum professional training of instructors and their certification and special services in a high school such as library facilities. The high schools in the county which have achieved this accreditation are: Lehi, American Fork, Orem, Pleasant Grove, Springville, Spanish Fork, Payson, Provo, Brigham Young High School and st. Francis High School. The accreditation of the latter school is the latest in the county — occuring last fall. Officials of the three public school districts in the county said the program of accreditation will soon be aimed at the junior high School program in the state through the Utah State Department of Education. They said that the program will probably be _instituted next fall. Eventually, it was hinted, an accreditation program mayevenbeinstituted into the elementary schools. These two lower levels of accreditation, according to Dr. Wing, would be as an effort to upgrade the instruetion in elementary and junior high schools. Program Outlined the Orem 20th Ward.
