Show I A ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION OF ' UTAH .STATE DAIRY AS SOCIATION. C Article 1. This society shall be ' known as the Utah State Dairy As-m As-m T, sociation . Any person interested in the dairy business may become a -member by paying to the treasurer the sum of one dollar. Article 2. The object of this .ij- ul sociation shall be the promotion of .11 " the dairy interests of Utah by sccu: n iug favorable legislation; by encour- I aging the use of a better grade of dairy cows, improved methods of $ feeding and caring for them, and bct- j, tor sanitary conditions, by bringing jL f before the public the advantages ol W the dairy business in Utah; by hold- ing meetings amt discussing matters rkp pertaining to the advancement of the ' ' dairy industry; by bringing farmers .and factory men in closer touch with , ' one another; by acting in unison up- a on all occasions which demand it. I Article 3. There shall be an an il nual meeting for the election of offi-, offi-, t ' cers each year at the time and place 'wL l-'ipRpintcd by the executive committee and other meetings may be held dur- ' m m tnc ycar at sucn times and prices as said committee may designate. It shall be the duty of the executive committee to inform the secretary " of such matters as will be brought before each meeting called by it, and of the time and place of the meeting in. season for him to give reasonable r- , notice thereof to each member. Antcle 4. The officers of this a3- "-kf sociation shall be a president, a vice-TV vice-TV president and a secretary-treasurer. They shalll be elected annually and shall continue in office until their successors have been chosen. The executive committee shall appoint the speakers, select the subjects for such meetings as it shall call and make such other arrangements therefor as is may deem advisable. Tlicre sha'l also be appointed each year by the secretary, a board of directors, one from each county in the Stale. It shall be the duty of each member of the board to stimulate the organization organiza-tion of the dairy interests in his own county and to bring the members of such organizations in touch with the State Dairy Association. The secretary-treasurer shall keep a true record re-cord of the transactions of the association as-sociation and of the executive committee, com-mittee, and an accurate account of all money received and paid out by him and make a report thereof at the annual meeting. He shall be furnished with such books, stationery and postage as may be necessary ?n the performance of his duty as scc-r scc-r tary-trcasurcr and such compensation compensa-tion for his traveling expenses as may be awarded him by a vote or the association at the annual meet Article 5. For the purpose of meeting meet-ing the necessary expenses of this association each member shall pay to the treasurer, once a year, the sum of one dollar. Aritcle 6. These articles may be omended at any regular meeting by .1 two-thirdb vote of those present, provided notice of such amendment be given by the secretary at the request re-quest of three members before starting start-ing in the call for the meeting at which the vote is to be taken. |
