Show UTAH'S WHOLESALE 2D Lakeside Review North, Wednesday, Aug. 24, 1983 Presbyterians May Establish Church A LAYTON survey task force will be canvassing areas of Layton, Kaysville and Fruit Heights this Sunday, to help determine the possibility of establishing a Pres church, according to McAtee. He said that the area has 33 to 40 active Presbyterian families which could form the nucleus of a church in the area, should they decide to support such a movement. McAtee said that if the church should be established it would blend with the existing community and would be a service organization as well as provide religious and family training needs of the people. He strssed that the Survey, teams will not be prostelyting but only conducting a survey to help determine the feasibility of establishing a church. We would appreciate people answering our questions so we can get a feel for the area outlined to us and to verify as factually as we can the probability and recommendation of establishing the congregation and a church for those people, he byterian Church in that area. North Davis County is a logical location for a church and our survey will help to determine if there is a specific need for a Presbyterian church and congregation to be established, said Harold McAtee, of new church development. He said that the large increase in population in North Davis County, and a corresponding inS crease in families members of Presthe prompted byterian churches, especially from the Ogden area, to form the task force. The survey will help determine the stability of the population in neighborhoods, the ethnic backgrounds of local peo- said.
