He is currently assigned to the 683d Field Artillery Battalion of the U.S. Army Reserves. Bailey is married to the former Ellen Baird of Ogden and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman E. Bailey of Roy. He will be attending the armor officer basic course at Fort Know, Ky., whereupon he will report to Germany for his first assignment. Bailey was a distinguished military graduate from Weber State. Bowman, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Bowman of Kaysville, is married to the former Lisa Ingebretsen and they reside in N. Scott Bailey, Mark J. Bowman, Robert E.R. Spoo, and Steven V. Kittrell. Young, the son of Mrs. Lucile Gillett of Bountiful, will attend the military intelligence officer basic course at Fort Huachuca, Ariz., and will then report to Fort Lewis, Wash., for his first assignment. While at Weber. State Young served as cadet battalion commander, received the Association of the United States Army Award for Juniors and was a distinguished military graduate. He also received the Departof the Army Superior Cadet Decoration Award given annually by the Army to the top student in the ROTC graduation ment class. He is married to the former Wendy Lee Elwood and they reside in Bountiful. Garner is the son of Mr. James E. Garner and Mrs. Sharon M. Derrick of Clinton. He will be assigned to the 19th Special Forces Group of the Utah National Guard as an operations officer until graduation. While a cadet at Weber State Garner was the cadet operations officer and is a distinguished military student. He also received the Army Parachutist badge. Ms. Nielsen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bob J. Nielsen of Layton. She is assigned to the t our Layton store in mander. He received the C. Marshall Award and the Department of the Army Superior Cadet Award. He has also been listed in Whos Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges and was a distinguished military George graduate. Spoo also received the Reserve Officer Association Certificate. This award is given annually by the ROA to the student who is in the top 10 percent of his ROTC class and who demon- strated outstanding qualities of leadership, moral character, and high aptitude for military ' science.
