Price City notified the Tax Commission it will impose the new municipal f ansient room tax at a r 360 ft percent- When added to the 3 percent transient room tax imposed on room rents by Carbon County, the total county and municipal transient room tax in Price will be 4 percent beginning April 1. ; The Tax Commission said Green River has passed ordinances imposing three taxes: the resort community sales tax and the additional resort community sales tax at a combined rate of 12 percent, as well as the 14 cent municipal highways tax. These taxes will be collected on all taxable sales and services in addition to other state and local sales taxes. The city of Green River straddles two counties, Emery and Grand which have different sales tax rates. Beginning April I, the eastern portion of Green jtiver that is in Grand County will have a combined sales tax rate of 7.75 percent. The portion of Green River that is in Emery County will have a combined sales tax rate of 7.5 percent. Salina has elected to impose the 14 percent highways tax on all taxable sales jnd services. Beginning April 1, Salinas combined tax rate will be 6.25 percent. .
