Each of these beautiful girls have been woi king hard at not only their pose and grace, talent and dancing skills, they have been working on a quilt and selling tickets for the giveaway. The annual Miss North Sevier Scholarship Pageant will be held March 15, 1997 at the North Sevier High School auditorium. The evening will begin at 7 p m. Tickets for the event are available from the contestants, pageant organizers and Barbs Just Tor Her. Local businesses and individuals have donated to the pageant. The money will be given to the winners for scholarships. The successful bond election in November allows for $16.5 million in bonds to be sold, however, only $10.8 million in bonds will be issued initially. A Master Plan charts the timeline for construction of each prioritized item. A statement in the Master Plan reads that its intended that recommendations made in the Plan be used as a guideline but that the timeline can be changed if necessary. The committee will develop a master plan and revise some problem areas in current ordinances. Glen Mickelsen was appointed to be the committee chairman. Several were also appointed to check into several different areas of development, including: zoning ordinances and future needs and developments of Redmond Town. A survey was sent to all residents of Redmond, regarding the public opinion on commercial and residential growth, current zoning laws, animal control, etc. Public hearings will be held later for further public input and opinions.
