Surface lures and spinner baits that can be retrieved through and around brush will be the most effective offerings. Catfish will be found in coves and sandy beaches. Bluegill can be creeled by fishing small grubs or live worms at 0 feet near large rock piles or long points. For more information, call FISH. FISH LAKE: Fishing is good for rainbows, splake and perch. Try jigging at the edge of the weeds with kastmaster tipped with bait for splake. Move in to shallower water and use worms for perch. Lake Powell fisheries biologist says that striped bass are randomly scattering, which has reduced the size of schools and the number caught in any one location. They may be in the backs of canyons, eating shad in the morning, and then along the main channel wall in the afternoon.
