| Show STATE ELECTRIC just now the exchanges throughout the state are making comment on oa the possibility of an electric railway which will aill traverse the state from logan on the north to nepal on the south david eccles who abo Is president of 0 the ogden rapid transit co which is building the line from hot springs on to this city has evidently authorized the statement that his bis company would build on from brigham thru the canyon to wellsville and connect N with ith the logan street railway which expects to traverse the south end ot of cache valley mr air eccles Is also the chief promoter of that railway and his purpose evidently is to have a through line from ogden to logan tapping on the way a country rich in ID produce of all kinds which would undoubtedly give gl 6 the road a splendid business both in passenger and freight traffie traffic running irom from salt lake to ogden is the electric line built by simon bamberger who now has his eye on a southern extension from salt lake city prominent business men and capitalists living in the southern part of the state are desirous of cooperating with mr bamberger in building the road making its southern terminal tor for the present at nephi which lies in the heart ol of a rich dry farming section on the ibe other hand the steam railroads which traverse the section thru which the proposed electric line will run will not give up their holdings without a struggle the electric road will undoubtedly cut a wide swath in ia the business of the steam abeam roads and indications point to 0 a merry war tor for the trade brigham and box boi lelder elder lave have excellent railroad facilities as good or perhaps better than auy any other city and county in the state excepting dealt salt I 1 latie a ke b but ut the appear ance liaa arab orab electric tall railroad i road with thru connections froni from ogden to logan would certainly mean something to cache county and logan especially which all its lire life has had bad to be content with branch line facilities which are by no means the best work is rapidly going apace on the road from hot springs to this city the grade having been I 1 finished to within a very lery few miles of this city and the track laying is being rushed right along whether the road will be completed by peach day is a question but it if the builders should tail fall in their anticipations there will only be a week or so elapse after that time eer the cars are running along our streets in the meantime developments for a state electric car line will III be watched with interest |
