| Show OBITUARY JANIC JANE SIMONS jane simons died at her home in bountiful davis county sunday may 2nd and at p in of pleurisy deceased had been ailing fol foi two or three months before her death and was not stany at any time confined to her bed she diell died white while sitting bitting in a chair the night before she ne appeared to be as well as an usual and was j able to go out doors lasister i ta sister simons was the daughter of william and sarah meredith and was born june 1825 at bedford wales was married to george beddoe march 20 1845 at victoria wales three children were born to them in 1851 she buried her husband and in 1852 started for utah arriving here the fall of the same year it was on board of the ship while crossing the ocean that she ahe was married to edward simons who has preceded her to the great beyond kalf ond by more than a year and a half nine children followed this union eight of whom survive her she spent one winter in oak lake and a year in centerville Cent erville when the family moved to Bountiful which has baa ever since been her home funeral services were held at the bountiful tabernacle on wednesday may jtb ath at 2 pm the ithe house was nice ly draped in white and the casket was literally covered with natural flowers which were arranged into wreaths bouquets gates ajar eto etc in addition to which there were a great many flower pots pota with flowers which people bad brought with them from their homes homel it was her wish thatcher neighbors should speak at the funeral elders smedley diey david and enoch lewis thomas briggs john K cr crosby 09 by samuel bryson henry rampton Bam pion R friob ard D aerden john wood 0 B R jones isaac atkinson naon joseph corbett amos cook D 0 willey willard call and john barlow spoke briefly upon the life and character of the deceased each bearing testimony to her many sterling qu qualities alem and her unswerving fidelity to the gospel of jesus christ her sons none grandsons and sons in law served as an pall bearers the funeral procession consisted ot of forty four vehicles and extended from the cemetery gate to the county road deceased was baptized into the church of jesus christ ot of latter day saints at swansea south wales walea december 17 1848 and made a pleasure plea aure trip to the old country nineteen years ago last lant fall being absent seven month she was identified with the relief belief solety society c of the bountiful ward and had been connected with the same ever since it was wai first organized she died as she had lived a faithful latter day saint in the hope of a glorious resurrection idaho montana and washington papers please copy MARY MART GOODMAN HALLADAY TROPIC may died at tropic garfield county utah may 4 1897 mary goodman good man halladay wife of the late laie james B halladay who departed this life at kanab kane county utah on the alth of may 1889 he was born bom february 6 1812 at willougby war wilkshire wick shire bire england mary goodman was boru born at bed worth warwickshire Warwick shire england on the of may 1807 or 1808 james B halladay and mary goodman were married at ac bedworth bed worth warwickshire Warwick shire england january 27 1834 1884 their family consisted consist edof of seven children four boys and three girls two boys and one girl died prior to 1864 in 1864 james B mary peter B and wilford H holladay halladay emigrated to utah arriving at provo october 1864 at the home of Abraham Halladay the youngest brother ot of james B halladay out on the of october 1867 peter B halladay departed this life at midway summit coun county t utah the family of three move moved T south mouth to rockville Boo kville where william halladay another brother of J B halladay lived and died january 25 1879 at the the tim time james a 8 mary ary peter and wilford halladay ayi d departed e pt led from Liverpool two dau daughters 9 hd were left who would take no part in the gospel and chose to live as an they w were ere in may 1892 Wilford H holladay halladay went to kanab to his mother and there disposed of the remaining estate a house and lot and took his mother to salt lake city to his famile prom from there they all moved into garfield arfield G county where the mother lived with the family until her death which occurred on the ath of way may 1897 she was strong in her laith of the gospel and a happy union with her husband and those gone before her millennial star please copy |
