Show JUNE 23, 1987 Mary Carolina Vigil Gonzales, 69, of 797 E. 2625 N., Layton, died Friday, June 12, 1987 at the Humana Hospital Davis North in Layton of heart failure. She was born March 3, 1918 in Trinidad, Colo., a daughter of Julian and Sipia Chavez Vigil. She married Chon" Encama-cio- n Gonzales April 25, 1942 in Trinidad, Colo. She had lived in Trinidad, Colo., and in Rock Springs for 15 years. She had lived in the Layton area for the past 35 years. For the past 11 years, as part of Kaysville 4th of July festivities, the Daughters of Utah Pioneers of Kaysville have 546-220- 1. sponsored bus tours to historic spots in the area. This year they are trying something different to acquaint people with Kaysvilles past - a short, walking tour (the first of several such tours projected for the future). This first tour will encompass about 30 stops in a two block area in the center of town. A map and guide book telling the history of each designated spot will be -- self-guide- orado. She was preceded in death by a son, brother and two sisters. Kos-to- Lloyd dies at 38 Cherie V. Lloyd, 38, Preston, died June 1, 1987 at the Franklin County Skilled Care Center of cancer. She was bom April 14, 1948 in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Dean Fairboura Lloyd and Willa Thatcher Benson. She was a graduate of Preston High School and LDS Seminary. She graduated from beauty college. She worked at Gossner Cheese, Wulitzer and Deseret Industries. She is survived by her parents of Preston. Funeral services were held at the Preston North LDS Stake Center with Bishop Mike Krantz conducting. Family prayer was by Bishop Lynn Brenchley; prelude and John Sant; invocation, Marlow Smart; life sketch. The family would like to express their graitutde for all the acts of kindness, love and concern shown by friends, neighbors and relatives in the loss of their daughter.
