Show DECEMBER 9. 1986 L, MAPLE PECAN RING Like individual cinnamon rolls all hooked together in a ring, Very rich, sweet rolls to be served anytime from breakfast to midnight. Temperature: 375 degrees F. Time: 20 to 25 minutes 1. In a large bowl thoroughly mix: lb. miniature marshmallows small can pineapple (drained). Let marshmallows and pineapple stand over night V cup vanilla wafer crumbs 12 1 V2 cups flour V2 cups sugar V2 tsp. salt 2 pkgs. undissolved yeast 2. Add: V2 cup butter or margarine, softened 3. Gradually add, beating 2 minutes at medium speed with an electric mixer: 2 eggs (at room temperatures) 5. Add, beating for two minutes at high speed to form a thick batter: V2 cup flour 6. Stir in to form a soft dough: 3 to 4 cups flour 7. turn dough out onto lightly floured bread board and knead until dough is smooth and elastic. Cover with plastic wrap and then a towel; let rest 20 minutes. 8. Combine for filling: 1 V2 cup chopped pecans Vi cup brown sugar 2 tsp. maple flavoring 9. Punch doug down; divide in half. On lightly floured surface roll each section of dough into a 16x8 inch rectangle. 10 Brush each section of dough with melted butter or margarine. 11. Sprinkle over top of each piece of dough: V2 brown sugar mixture 12. Roll up each piece of dough, ng with long side, to form a roll. Seal edge well. Place, sealed ede down, onto greased baking sheet and form into circle carefully sealing ends together. 13. With scissors, cut h way through into ring at intervals; carefully turn and flip each section of ring onto its side. 14. Brush rings with vegetable Lib 1 ROCKY ROAD FUDGE BARS Part II (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened (save 2 oz. for frosting) V2 c. sugar 2 Tbsp. flour ' c. softened butter 1 1 egg 1 tsp. vanilla SWEET ROLL TWISTS cup potatoes (mashed or stant) 1 qt. scalded milk 1 V in- cup shortening 23 cup sugar Beat with mixer and add 1 cup cold water. Beat in 2 eggs and 2 yeast cakes dissolved in 23 cup warm water. Beat in 4 cups flour and 1 T salt. Beat with n FRUIT SALAD DRESSING Juice of one lemon Juice of one orange 1 Blend until smooth. Spread over first mixture. Sprinkle 'A c. nuts and (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips over cheese mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 min. Sprinkle 2 cups miniature marshmallows over top and bake 2 minutes longer. FROSTING FOR COOKIES V c. butter 1 sq. chocolate cup pineapple juice cup sugar 4 Tbp. cornstarch (level). Cook until clear and smooth. Add rind of smooth. Add a little at a time, mixing with spoon, 6 more cups flour. Let rise about an hour, till double in bulk. Mix down and shape into long rolls. Dip into melted shortening and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Twist and let rise. Bake in hot oven 375 to 400 and frost with glaze. orange and lemon. Cool. Add diced canned peaches, pears, pineapple, mandarin oranges and sliced banana. Fold into sauce, gently until well mixed. 25-3- oz. cream cheese ' c. milk Melt over low heat. Add 3 cups powdered sugar. Mix well. Swirl frosting over marshmallows as soon as you take cookes from oven. Refrigerate. 2 15. Cover and blend on high speed. Immediately remove feeder cap and add all remaining oil in a steady stream. If necessary, stop motor and use rubber spatula to keep ingredients flowing to the blades. Yield: about cup. 1 V2 r 1 1 PARTY CHEESE BALL 2 oz. pkgs. cream cheese 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar POLKA-DO- T 1 1- -6 , butter with 1 sq. butter chocolate 1 c. sugar 1 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder V2 c. nuts 1 tsp. vanilla 2 eggs Mix together and spread in greased and floured 9xl3 pan oil. . 1 V2 c. melted one-inc- Vf 6-- Part two-thir- Spoon into chilled crust. Stand mints upright around edge of crust. Chill over nighf-t- : pint whipping cream Combine marshmallows and pineapple with wafer crumbs and nuts, large heaping. Whip cream stiff and fold into above ingredients. Take about a Tbsp. of mixture and roll in some wafer crumbs and shape into balls. Let stand over night in refrigerator. Serve with whipping cream on top, and a maraschino cherry. Makes 8 servings. 16-in- PARTY PIE cup miniature marshamallows oz. kg. pastel mint patties 1 pkg. lemon Whip and Chill 8 or 9 inch crumb crust pie shell Prepare crumb crust as directed on package, press mixture against sides and bottom of an 8 or 9 inch pie pan. Chill crust while preparing filling. Prepare filling as directed on package. Fold in marshmallows. cup nuts V2 2 Cover dough thoroughly with plastic wrap and refrigerate ring 2 to 24 hours, depending on your time schedule. 16. When ready to bake, remove ring from regrigerator, uncover dough, and allow it to stand 10 minutes at room temperature. 17. Bake at 375 degrees F. for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. 18. Remove from baking sheet immediately and cool on wire racks. 19. When cool, frost with powdered sugar icing and top with additional pecans: 1 cup powdered sugar 2 Tbsp. milk 1 Tbsp. melted butter SNOWBALLS ym cheese Tbsp. each chopped pimiento, chopped onion and chopped green pepper 2 Tbsp. Worchestershire sauce 1 tsp. lemon juice Finely chopped pecans. Combine softened cream cheese and cheddar cheese, mixing until PERMS a 1 1 well blended. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Chill.
