Congratulations to our basketball team, who played an excellent game against Viewmont last Tuesday. However, unfortunately, our team lost. Congratulations to Rod Dixon for his amazing shot and thanks to Chris Parrish and his cheerleaders who provided the entertainment. If you are in Chem Club, be sure to read the board in Mrs. Yanhes room for more information. The math club is looking for members. If youre interested, there is a meeting Wednesday. Well, once again, I dont have a thought for the week. I ran out of ideas! If any of you faithful readers have any ideas, let me know, maybe I'll use it. Well, it looks like thats all for this week. Have fun and hang in there, next week is the last week before Christmas! Salutations! I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving feasts. I know our house was one of all my little heavenly festivities cousins. I was so crazed by all of the little ones that I threw in the towel and ran into my room to watch a movie on the VCR. The movie I dropped into the machine was "The Sure Thing, a well well acted, and well directed show put out by Embassy Pictures. But Im not here to tell you about the picture or the plot, instead Im going to borrow its title and a small part of its dialogue. Towards the beginning of the movie the two stars were at their graduation party. They were talking of all the friends they had had and singled out a couple in particular. Their thoughts carried over to me because Im a senior this year and I am a little nervous about graduating, leaving my friends, etc. I will miss all of my classmates, but a special group will always remain in my heart. A group of fighting men. The true Falcons and the : same guys who would stick to the green and white no matter what. They are commonly known as the think thats how you grievers--- I it. They are unique and a great boost to the team on the floor. Some of their habits are a little off the wall, but when the cheerleaders need the audience to cheer, theyre there. They are always the first ones to stand up for the school song and ready to defend the green and white if needed. These guys are the heartbeat of Clearfield and although I feel they all need recognition, I cant even begin to name them all for fear of missing one. But if you see a lettermans jacket or a spirit towel on one of the Falcon students, say thanks; theyre probably one of the famed grievers--th- e sure thing at Clearfield High. Next I would like to announce the beginning of the Clearfield High School basketball season. The boys played their first game on the 26th against a fine Woods Cross team, they lost but they looked an improved, fast, intelligent team. I wish them the best of luck for the season.
