| Show priesthood meeting the r regular monthly meeting of the priesthood of the salt lake stalie stake of zion convened in the assembly hall salt lake city today saturday august 2nd and at 11 a mi m prebi lent joseph E t taylor tay lor presiding after the usual opening exercises the roll was called and responded to by two high councilors councillors Counci lors one patriarch all the members of the presidency of the high priests quorum twelve presidents of seventies and eleven home missionaries all the wards of the stake were properly represented except the second fifth and seventeenth city wards and south jordan of the county tile the presidency of the third fourth ninth tenth twelfth thirteenth nineteenth and twentieth quorums quo runis of elders responded to the roll call ten young men were recommended for ordination to the office of elder president joseph E taylor said s a id that he was pleased to say that the people or of this stake had bad responded promptly to the call made at tile the last priesthood meeting for means to help beautify and adorn the logan temple there were still nine wards of the stake to bo be heard from the saints had contributed freely there had been received thus fai far nearly two thousand dollars very few statistical reports have been handed in today As the stake conference will be hew held in the beginning of next month september and the sema sem anual conference of the church in october it is very essential that the clerk of the stake receive these reports immediately counselor C W and other speakers addressed the meeting giving timely instructions in reference to the duties of the saints |
