| Show VOTERS TAKE NOTICE I 1 AT a meeting of tho the territorial 6 liberal committee on the ath ol 01 june 1890 some resolutions were adopted among which was waa the following as it appeared io in the organ of the committee next day resolved by the territorial liberal committee of df utah composed of democrats and republicans that they heartily endorse the bill now pending before congress introduced in the senate by senator cullom and in the house by representative Ke struble ble providing a test oath for etab and earnestly earU estly request its passage ap the secretary of that committee and meeting who is understood to have been the writer of the reeola tion and was made registrar for the county is now the liberal candidate for the office of county clerk peoples peopled party voters remember this and also that every scratched ticket counts one in favor of the enemy the offices of county clerk and recorder are those most desired by the enemies of the people therefore they are wanted foi fbi the men who are tp to be rewarded fol foi political dirty work and therefore mud is being thrown against the nominees of the peoples peopled and work ingmen ing mena ys parties for these offices therefore also dissension is being promoted among the people for the purpose of inducing some of them to scratch the ticket friends dont doni be befouled befooled fooled by the en emyl elj vote the straight ticket pay no attention to the falsehoods or insinuations situations of private or public deters there is not a man named on the peoples peopled ticket who has pulled wires for a nomination they were all sought for and chosen they are not political 61 strikers and spoils men they are infinitely preferable to the liberal loggers for office who favor the disfranchisement of thousands of hon honest est voters because they will not support liberal schemes and candidates the two bills which these men heartily endorse and the passage of which they earnestly request are so utterly wrong and un amerl ameri can that neither republicans nor democrats in congress desired their enactment when their infamy was waa exposed men who understanding fully their purport urgently request congress to paw pass such measures ought to be repudiated by every fair minded citizen they are not fit to be entrusted with office they are not fit to have charge of public records they are unworthy the support of any honorable man there are other reasons why they are totally unfit for the places they are working for but we do not wish to enter into personalities we have avoided them throughout the campaign if it is necessary to go into questions of character certain snide politicians of the liberal I complexion who are simply repeating their old tricks cou could id not only be roasted but entirely burned up it way may become necessary to kindle this fire but we would rather withhold the match while keeping the fuel dry dont forget this resolution fair minded voters whether you are peoples peopled or Working mens or have heretofore trained under Libe liberal raly insignia the carpet bag placed above the stars and stripes emblem of the bogus loyalty and actual rapacity of political adventurers and when you go to the polls cast your ballots for men vo are bona fide representatives of young utah of old utah of present improvement of future progress as of toiling industry of honest government of equal rights and universal liberty |
