Show The Thunderbird UARF schedules local workshop A midwinter institute for representatives of the Utah Association of Rehabilitation Facilities will be held Wednesday and Thursday at the St. George Hilton. The two-da- y meet is being sponsored by the UARF and the Southern Utah State College Office of Community Support Services. Activities start Wednesday with registration at 10 a.m. and continue through 4 p.m. Thursday. ' An executive committee meeting is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, followed by a UARF membership meeting from 1 to 4 p.m. Harry Swanson, coordinator of the SUSC Small Business Development Center, will be among the afternoon presenters, and will discuss the possibility of a southern Utah craft cooperative and its implications for sheltered workshops. Wayne Crabb, director of Timp-VieIndustries, Lindon, Cliffs supervisory personnel from Utah sheltered workshops, work activity centers and work adjustment programs will attend, according to Virginia B. Higbee, executive director of SUSC Community Support Services and the institute coordinator Utah County, is the keynote speaker at a dinner scheduled for 6 p.m. at Paulas Mexican Restaurant. Activities continue Thursday at 9 a.m. with a social services update from Utah Department of Social Services specialists Sue Behle, Dr. Gary Nakao and Dr. Bill Handley.
