Retailers large and small m this area have felt the need for all mens apparei market to be held at the beginning of the buying season. Timing is essential to these markets. The buyer must buy far enough ahead so that delivery is assured for his peak selling season. At the market over 250 lines will be represented. Ihe market serves a twofold purpose . . . The retail buyers are able to "shop and see many lines conveniently brought together in one place. They can compare values and see the styling trends. The representatives can present their g- menu in a pleasart and appealing way and the buyer can look in a more leisurely fashion than if the same line were shown in bis store. Obviously, tne reaction to a particular item is noted by the seller and the ground work for styling trends is set. The manufacturer can then gear his production to the needs of the retailer. The buyer is the unsung hero of the retail business. He must know his customer . . their likes and dislikes. He must predict six months in advance what his particular customers will want. He must predict the styles, the sizes, the colors and quantities his stores will need. The Intermountain Area has long been known as a stvle conscious region. No small credit for this reputation must go to the buyer who can stock and maintain a fine selection of goods for his customers. Cuts 2' lumber at 45 dearest. Zlpa through weed with Mod. 7301 ae.
