Show Historian In U.S. Capitol BY PATRICK ROYLANCE WASHINGTON, D. C. As a skilled genealogy instructor with 25 years experience, Florian Hunt Thayn has taught hundreds of church members to use proper research methods in genealogical work. And in her work as historian of the capitol in Washington, she uses those same research techniques on a daily basis m one of the most famous government buildings in the world. "There are a great many parallels between my work at the capital ar.d research," said Sister genealogical Thayn. Sister Thayn began work in the capitol nearly 10 years ago, after her three daughters were grown. She now has seven grandsons, and hopes for Iter first granddaughter later this year. In addition to her position as associate librarian at the Washington Branch Genealogical Library, a position she has held since the library opened eight years ago, Sister Thayn teaches the Priesthood Genealogy class in the Carrollton Ward. Her husband, June B.
