Show nniw vwvwwnr1 I Women Of Utah Tech Meet To Discuss Services Women of Utah Technical College will gather tomorrow (Friday) at noon in the College Center to consider ways of increasing female enroll- ment and services at the school. Speakers at the affair will be Janet R. Warburton, MSC, licensed clinical social worker and Nanci Klein, MS in psychology. The two have conducted workshops through both the UofU and Utah Technical College at Provo. The session is being held in consequence of the upsurge of women the work force as well as those who are working while planning and maintaining families, a spokesman at Utech explained. It was further noted that vocational training programs and allied service projects must continue to grow to provide for the demands of the labor force in the future. JoAnn McCullough, coordinator of manpower programs and mutual educational and employment training at the college is directing tomorrows program. All female employes of the college, some 50 percent, have been invited to participate in the luncheon meeting. The VanOrden family in Granger just might be the one family in the area who can answer that question, however, for their young son, Richard, grew a pumpkin that very size this past summer. Or ... if pies arent your thing . . . how about cookies? Pumpkin Cookies are favorites with many a family around here, or . . . theres always those neat Pumpkin Loaves which would of the meanest person on earth. And, if you arent interested in the food which appears on your table (you mean there are such people?) can you imagine . . Yes, can you imagine what terror would jump into your heart if you were confronted, Halloween night, n with the glowing face of a a from pumpkin coming which is so big it takes two people to even lift? That would be fearful. The immense pumpkin were surmising about is the pride and joy of 13 year old Richard VanOrden, son of the Dell VanOrdens. The Big One is one of seven he produced from his three vines, and it, as Richard tells, just grew and grew and grew as if it would never stop. I put the seed, he relates, in natural farmyard fertilizer because I wanted to see how big a pumpkin I could get. I used an awful lot of water on it, too. His special care paid off, judging by the results of his sister Julies pumpkin patch, on the other side of the yard. Her pumpkins, with quite ordinary planting and treatment, were not nearly as big as Richards. The successful young farmer is a Green Sheet carrier and, since he plans on attending the National Scout Jamboree in Virginia next summer, m im gwtd big PuMpkiH he is considering selling his luscious crop to help with expenses. And, as far as he is concerned, he doesnt even care how many pies, cookies or loaves could come out of it. But for the lucky person who does end up with this Herculean Pumpkin, here are a few recipes to use. And, what you cant eat, take from the rind, steam and freeze in 2 cups measures, for this is the perfect ... amount for most recipes. West Valley City, UT. Pumpkin Cake Knii 3 eggs . We must always remember that if it hadn't been for Ford's pardon, (his very first act), Nixon would have stood trial and no doubt served time in prison as the rest of his group I did. The way our country is run is that the Supreme Court has the final over all ideas that can say-schange our way of living. And when it speaks we move as they say move. ... o Okay? Well, the tenure of a Judge on the Supreme Court lasts the rest of his life. And the President of the U.S. is the one who appoints those judges. Inasmuch as at least four and perhaps five vacancies will have to be filled in the next few years, the president we elect will choose those judges. What their thinking is, is how we will live. Five judges will be a majority on that Bench and want people there who feel about America as do.
