The Utah Mountain Men will perform outdoor demonstrating skills and black powder shooting. Quartets and other acts will also be presented. Students are being invited to contribute any item they have made during the past year for display. Art work, sewing, plants or vegetables children have grown, or any other personal project may be shown. Students are to sign up today if they wish to have items on display. Foods available at the fair will include barbecued burgers, ice cream cups, potato chips, soft drinks and baked items. Craft booths will be set up featuring homemade items which may be bought or ordered. Many gift items will be available, including teddy bears, memo boards and a variety of wooden items. Opening ceremonies based on Olympic programs will herald the start of a marathon race for three groups, first and second graders, third and fourth graders, fifth and sixth grad ers. Winners in all groups will receive medallions on chains as prizes. Contests for all age groups will include a doughnut eating contest and a night crawler race. Participants may bring their own night crawler or get one at the fair, Mrs. Burbidge said. Two quilts, one with a football design and the other featuring a pattern of little girls, will be given as door prizes. There will also be a white elephant booth. Tickets will be sold before school today (Thursday) and tomorrow, at 12 for $1, or may be purchased at the fair at 10 cents each.
