Mr. James Butler, Salt Lake Area Council President,' who is salesmanager for the Mountain States Telephone Company, will announce his Council members and committees at this time. Camp Fire Girls, Incorporated, is the oldest girls organization in the United States, founded in 1910. So much interest had been indicated in this program that National Headquarters sent Miss Patricia Kaiser, National Field Representative, to this area last fall to assist in forming a council in the area. Relatively new to Utah, Camp Fire membership has doubled here in the past year. In March, a most successful Candy Sale was held to raise funds. In June, 150 girls attended a very successful day camp. The program on the 17th is by invitation only, but any former Camp Fire members, mother of girls age 7 to 17, or interested persons in the Camp Fire program, are urged to call EM day or night, for reservation if they desire to attend the event. Local community leaders, clergymen, and parents of Camp Fire Girls have been invited to attend. A training session for Camp Fire Leaders has been conducted this week at the Taylorsville Recreation Center by Pat Kaiser.
