Show V Babe Ruth ball Blue Whales sponsor meet expands league The Carbon Babe Ruth baseball league, expanded to five teams after one week of play, ! released a revised schedule showing playing dates on two fields for the first half. League president Marvin Mutz said an application from a team in the East Carbon area was accepted over the weekend necessitating the change in the original format that had four teams from the areas competing. Three games were played on the new field in northeast Price last week and these games will i continue to stand with the new entry, known as the Mets, to fit into the revised slate. The four teams that began the season are the Dodgers, Giants, Pirates and Yanks. Babe Ruth baseball, an innovation for Carbon County this season, takes in boys in the age brackets. League play resumed Tuesday of this week with the Giants playing the Mets in Price and the league-leadin- g Dodgers taking on the Yanks under the lights of the Helper ball park last night (Wednesday). Tonight (Thursday) the Pirates meet the Mets in a 6 p.m. game in Price.
